The Chaco Men's Classic Flip™ Flop in Solid Black is not just any ordinary flip flop; it’s designed for those who appreciate both comfort and performance. Crafted with ultra-durable PU construction, this footwear draws inspiration from Chaco's iconic Classic Z/Sandals. Its sturdy design ensures you won’t have to worry about your flip flops flopping around, making them perfect for various activities, including hikes, beach outings, or simply lounging.
One of the standout features is the contoured LUVSEAT™ arch-support, which actively promotes healthy foot alignment. This ergonomic footbed has been recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) for its corrective benefits. Whether you are recovering after an intense workout or walking around town, these flip flops provide fantastic support and comfort.

The Chaco Men's Classic Flip™ Flop stands out primarily for its robust construction and anatomical support. The use of 100% textile fabric gives it a lightweight feel while also enhancing flexibility. This footwear is engineered for outdoor enthusiasts, yet comfortably transitions to casual environments.
When it comes to fit, the sizing runs true, allowing you to confidently select your standard shoe size. The jacquard textile upper feels soft against the skin, reducing the risk of irritation or blisters, a common complaint with standard flip flops. The reinforced toe posts add stability, ensuring they stay securely on your feet during active use.
In terms of performance, the non-marking ChacoGrip rubber sole excels on wet surfaces, giving you confidence when navigating slippery rocks or sandy beaches. With a 2.0 mm lug depth, you can expect reliable traction whether you're trekking through a forest trail or relaxing by the shore.
While the flip flops may take a few wears to fully break in, the comfort achieved thereafter is worth the initial effort. These sandals have garnered a loyal following, particularly among river guides and athletes who depend on their durability and support during demanding activities.

I’ve been wearing Chaco flips exclusively for 17 years and just bought my 4th pair. They’re on my feet almost every day, around the house all winter and outside all summer. While the fit is perfect for me with just the right arch support I really love how the foot bed stays grippy when wet and the soles give plenty of traction walking on slick surfaces. Averaging over 4 years per pair is nothing to complain about either
My last pair lasted my 7 years. The soles are firm, but less “hard” than previous (est 2015/16) Which, imho is what you want in a long term sandal. They don’t absorb water like foam ones. The straps are light but super strong. I don’t find the arches too high trying to hard to be something they shouldn’t. The new version has upgraded tread grabbiness, which also means that feature might wear our, but what’s under is till solid.
My previous pair of these, which I wore all over Honolulu regularly, took some time to break in and weren't the most comfortable because they were stiff, but man were they durable. Lasted at least eight years before the straps pulled out (I fixed that for another two years of use) and then, finally, the footbed disintegrated. These new ones fit well (unlike at least one reviewer, I found the straps nice and snug), the arch support is excellent, and the soles are very grippy. But the material is different, and seems inferior. Still good sandals, and more comfortable than the old ones, but maybe not the indestructible bargain they once were.
These are durable flip flops for the money. I’ve had several pairs over the years and they’ve lasted a good while. That’s coming from someone who wears flip flops more than they do actual shoes. They are hard rubber and will outlast any mush or leather flip flop.
Have had them for 2 months and enjoy these flip flops
As a river guide, I can attest that Chaco used to be the best! Made in the USA, comfort and quality to last for years. But, they sold out, are now made in China, and their new shoes are terrible. I ordered these thinking they couldn’t have made their flip flops bad right? All those reviewers must’ve been exaggerating right? Wrong. They’re as bad as everyone says. We returned them after merely trying them on for one minute around the house. :( Terrible quality (the right and left shoe were visibly different from one another) and they weren’t at all comfortable. :(
Been wearing this model for 15+ years. Best flip around!
As with their Z2 sandles I've had for over a year now, these things are comfy, made with great quality materials and are great if ya need to pop on some footwear for a quick minute. I'm sold for life on Chacos. I live in Arizona and I've got tan lines from these from March-December. They hold up to constant use and are worth the price any day.
