Very cute, runs big in width because it is fabric not leather.
I've been very excited to try a new Aerosole design since the company was acquired by American Exchange in 2021 as the designs were so elevated. I've also though been a bit concerned that for a long time these new fashion forward designs were only available on their website (quality red flag especially at the $135 plus price point) since they could potentially manipulate reviews and make returns difficult. I have seen them in the past year on Zappos and on Amazon though which encouraged me. Needed some holiday shoes so I thought I'd give it a go.First of all style-wise these shoes are absolutely darling. The heel height (which is disclosed in the listing) is higher than you might expect from an Aerosole shoe. It has a 4.25 heel height and a 1 inch platform. That may be a factor-along with the vamp design- of the weirdness folks are reporting: it is absolutely true that your foot slides WAY forward as you try to walk in an odd and uncomfortable way. I'm a very consistent 9 medium and the shoe just isn't designed to fit correctly. The insole does have some cushioning, but this is very different shoe than your Grandma's Aerosole in that the material and construction is stiff and uncomfortable--although there is a rubber sole to prevent slips. This feels more like a $40 teen fashion shoe in fit and construction than a premium brand that understands foot dynamics. If you are fine with uncomfortable shoes--these are not total killers and they are adorable--then they might be a good option for you, especially at a VERY reduced price. But if you were hoping that Aerosole had brought their functionality and fit into a whole new style game--and the proce point suggests that this is what they want you to believe--don't be fooled. This isn't that shoe.
