These are so comfortable, warm and cozy, and cute. I am loving them so far. I usually wear a medium width, but took a gamble as they only had wide and narrow in stock, but the narrow fits perfectly, so I would say that these do run on the wide. I think the medium would have been too wide in these shoes, but then again, I don't like to wear thick socks. I always wear skirts, and am so happy to have a cozy winter alternative to boots, which I usually wear. The black look nice with black tights too...
however the left shoe was way too big...hmmm Since there is no way to adjust the fit, I had to return.
I was really impressed with this product from the packaging to the shoe. Each shoe was carefully wrapped in a bag. The shoe looks exactly as advertised and is a very nice looking shoe. Having a narrow foot, it's seldom that I can buy a shoe that fits well but these shoes do. They also have an inner sole that can be removed creating more room if/when needed. Overall, a good buy.
Liked the look of the boot, however felt flimsy
I purchased these as an alternative work shoe that I could tromp safely through the months of Ohio snow and slush to get to my office, keep my tootsies dry and warm, and still look cute with my daily style of boot cut jeans. Let me tell you, these do no disappoint! They are unbelievably comfortable right from the get-go. I normally wear a size 7 and that's what I ordered, and they are perfect. I have a wide foot, high arch and wear thick socks in the winter, and these shoes accommodate all of that extremely well. The high arch tends to cause top-of-the-foot pressure problems when wearing typical slip-on shoes, but no sign of that here. I adore these! They work perfect with boot cut or straight leg pants. Not sure how cute they'd be with skinny pants, but I've no intention of pairing those two, so I am good to go! You won't be disappointed!
I really wanted to love this shoe. I still love this shoe, but every one I have had to return (3 from different compamies) has been too loose in the heel. It appears that this a known issue and Trotters hasn't fixed it yet. So beware, if you have normal feet, you may get the pair I returned.
Got a half size bigger because I wear thicker hand knitted socks. May not have needed to as it seems designed for heavier socks. If walking a lot with thinner socks I add an inner sole and that words well even hiking several miles. Don't have to worry about puddles and mud comes off easily.
Size-wise, shoe was small. Heel was too large. Inside of shoe - toe area - felt tight & uncomfortable. Returned shoe.
