So I usually range in shoe size between 7 and 8. I can go 6.5 every so often. My "correct" size would be 7.5.So I tried the 7.5 shoes and 8.I had toe room in the 7.5. Yes I did originally experience that these shoes felt small on the sides of my feet. However, I just loosened the laces and they felt much better. Tight laces make a big difference in the fit of these. The material can pull back and give you extra room when you do this. However, it did feel like on my right foot only, the cushion was rubbing against my ankle bone. However, I did this trick where you put on multiple pairs of socks and then use a blow dryer, I did this on the ankle. It no longer rubs against my ankle now. And now I am perfectly happy with these shoes.Another thing you can do is you can unlace the top two laces. I tried this, And it does make the shoes less constricting, but I didn't need to do it once I fixed the issue. I like the support better with them all the way tied up. I think they look better with the laces tied up too.My third picture shows a comparison with the laces tied to the top and not. You can see the Sorel logo when you untie the top two spots.I just spent a long time walking around a store with them and my feet felt pretty great in them. Better than my other shoes even. But I don't own a great pair of walking shoes. I think this would be decent on a longer hike. They actually gave me a feeling of a spring in my step. It might be that curved toe that some people were talking about.I tried the size 8 as well, but it was too big. The toe room was a bit much and It actually made the ankle worse. It was too tall for me and I could feel the top part hitting my ankle in a less natural way. And when I untied the top two laces spots, these shoes were sliding up and down my foot when I walked. The 7.5 was way better.Ultimately, I would say go with your regular size. And just loosen the laces. If you sometimes wear a slightly larger size in shoes, go with that. But it would have been a mistake for me to go up to size 8.One other thing about these shoes is because they are waterproof, they are pretty insulated. And your feet might sweat a little bit more than usual. Just make sure to wear clean socks each time.Ultimately, I think these shoes are extremely cute. It's really hard to find a high top tennis shoe that is this stylish and cute. Especially if you're looking for a black tennis shoe. I think having the white sole makes them a lot more cute than other all black tennis shoes. And I think the kind of retro high top style is in style now as well.Though I personally just like the high top because they look good with any kind of socks. You can wear long socks of whatever color and I think they're going to look good, And they won't show as much with shorter pants.I considered knocking off one star because of the issues with the ankle and how warm they are. However, with adjustments, I think these shoes are just what I was looking for. And I'm happy with them. I also think with a waterproof shoe, you might have to expect the warmness issue. Because it's not going to be as breathable if it's going to block water.
I loves these. waterproof and cute. comfy too!
I think these are adorable and they are definitely warm and waterproof. However, they are most likely better for narrow feet. I wouldn't purchase them again but I recommend them for someone looking for a warm shoe that is an alternative to a boot!
Thought I would have to break these in but there was no need. They fit perfectly and they are so comfortable.
The shoes fits comfortably.
They are like walking on a cloud. My new faves
These shoes are cute, and they will definitely look even cuter on size 7 instead of 10 like mine. But I love high tops and decided to give them a try.First, without long socks they rubbed against my skin and left a pretty big blister on one of my shins.Second, and main reason why I returned, the footbed was so uncomfortable in one of the shoes! It felt like the inner side of my right foot is falling in like I’m walking on uneven surface…I returned them.
Size up 1/2 a size for the right fit.
