I bought this for my husband and so far he has been super impressed with the comfort of these shoes especially after so many hrs traveling and standing up. now I'm looking for my pair.
Easy to break in and very comfortable. Not much cushioning if your feet tend to get sore quickly, but they were great for me.
Nice design, light weight, sharp looking hiking mid boots with tasteful color compliments. I usually wears 1 size up if footwear are available in Medium width as I am in between Medium and Wide. Normally wears 10.0 but I went up 10.5 US with about 15mm (1.5 cm) and its perfect. Comfortable with roll as you walk.I gave it 4 Star only because it is a tiny bit of snuggy on instep and maybe tight if one have high arch or wearing thick socks. Just fyi. Ankle support is acceptable if you tighten the laces. Good for light hiking and threading but then I only use it as daily work around shoes.
Got these for walking to work and as a general pupose foot covering. They are really comfortable. I've worn them all day city hiking and they are awesome. Spendy, but I would purchase this model again. Like the other Salomons I own (x ultra) ordered my regular size and they fit fine. These are a little wider than my x ultras, which I like.
I bought these in December 2023 from Amazon, I should have bought them directly from Salomon because the warranty or returns are limited to 60 days with Amazon. The top metal hook for the shoe string broke last week. normally very happy with Salomon products, but not the return policy via Amazon.
Durable and waterproof. They performed well in the mountains and woods. However, these are a shoe, boot hybrid. I noticed the rubber "cushion" part of the shoe already has some cuts from branches on the forest floor. Even though they're still good, because of their design, there might be some durability issues with heavy use.
Side walls are tearing out just from 2 light hikes and normal everyday around town use, on both shoes after a couple months. My feet aren't wide either and none of my other shoes have ever done this. The foam is also starting to separate. Expected a lot more out of these. Crazy how expensive shoes are made so horribly nowadays.
