I absolutely love these boots. Several years ago I had purchased a black pair of Rieker books from a local shoe store. Finding boots that are comfortable and fit for a size 11 foot can be troublesome. They fit perfectly and I literally wore the black ones out. Needless to say, when I found this gray pair I was thrilled to have another pair of Rieker books. Comfortable. Flattering. Fair price.
I saw a friend wearing these boots one day and figured I would try them since I was in the market for a quality pair of boots. I have a bigger calf, but not fat calves, and certainly not skinny calves. This is one quality of food I always look at. I like how this one has a zipper on the inner inside. It also has a small zipper, which I think is aesthetic and part of the style of the boots, on the outside part of each side. So if you need a little bit more room in the calf then you can certainly have that with the food. The inside lining is super warm and great for cold weather.
I really wanted to love these boots but I had to return them over the fit. I have skinny legs and the length of the calf runs snug but the top is loose. There is warm wool on the inside and the boots look so cute on! I guess it might be the wool but my foot slipped too much in the boot, the calf felt snug, but the free edge at the top of the calf left a gap around my calf, kinda weird. It’s probably just my skinny legs. I thought about exchanging for a different size, but just decided to try a different style of boot because I’m convinced that it’s my anatomy that just didn’t work with this boot. I often have problems with my legs looking like toothpicks in long boots.
Reiker makes an AMAZING product! I purchased a set of their boot over 10 years ago and they still feel amazing. Unfortunately I wore a hole in the upper material (just within this year). This style is beautiful, soft inside and out, not too much of a heel (I'm a klutz and heels just make it worse), and have the ability to adjust to the calf. I have large calf muscles and these fit perfect. Highly Recommend!
I really wanted these boots to work for me. I read the reviews and was convinced the shaft would fit over my calves but I had to return them. The zipper only went half way up my calf.
Even though there are zippers to ease my high instep.. the boots zip up too tight on the calf. My last Reiner boots did not do that

Love these boots! I wore them a full day when I got them and they were so comfortable! They also keep my feet warm. I got them at a great sale price which made it even better!
