Bought these for my husband, he loves them, he normally wears a wide, but to big sent back and received regular and fit great. Good looking shoe, non slip sturdy, comfortable and stable, waterproof, warm, well made. His only complaint, they are not good for driving. Great for doing stuff outside in Michigan winter. Very happy!
I had ordered several different pairs of warm and waterproof boots to wear during the winters in Colorado. I needed to replace an older pair that had worn out. It was a really tough decision, and while I did not choose to keep this pair of boots, I really like the fit and materials used. The zipper in the front made it easy to put them on and take them off and seemed well insulated from the elements. The soul had good tread that works well in snow however, I’m not sure how well it would work on ice of course you could always clip on some spikes if needed. It’s a great pair of boots and I highly recommend them. The fit is slightly large which works well when wearing thick wool socks.
I wear a size 11H (4E) and ordered 11 XX WIDE. The inside of the boot says they are 5E, but they barely make a 4E. With a thinner pair of socks they are very comfortable, but with beefier socks like Gold Toes, they are a bit snug, but not uncomfortable enough to send them back. My left foot is bigger than my right foot, but the right boot is tighter than the left. Go figure.Update - I've been wearing these boots almost daily for two months now. Here in northern PA we have only two seasons, winter and mud season. They seem to be holding up well and have gotten more comfortable. I occasionally have to climb around on road salt piles. Typically, boots lose their waterproofing and don't keep feet warm after repeated pure salt exposure. It's the nature of road salt. My boots still keep my feet dry, but they didn't keep feet warm until the salt was worn/washed away. Because it's so hard to get boots that are wide enough, I now bought a second pair that won't be used on salt piles.
I was very skeptical because of other reviews. I took a risk and it paid off . I have had them for a few weeks now wearing them every day in snow and rain and slushy ice. They have held up beautifully. I am able to get them on and off super easy and quick. I bought a size 8.5 EE and I find that I could probably have went down a half size but they are great. They don't make my feet look big either. Great winter shoe!
Comfortable, weatherproof, easy on/off boots; I use them everyday to walk the dogs outside, in all weather, day and night. They are comfortable with just a regular pair of socks, but that does leave the "fit" a little loose. I did cheat by adding a "PowerStep" insert! Great for Fall, Winter, Spring wear, and in inclement weather; they stay dry.
This is my third pair for my husband. First pair lasted 3 yrs the inside were getting worn out but soles still good even when my husband who where’s them outside doesn’t zip them and scuffs around as he walks because he to lazy to zip them lol. These we originally got so he could have shoes he can slip off and on when entering the house. I bought several different boots to see what fit, the ease of removing and what were comfortable. He chose these. The second pair has been two yrs. They are still holding up but thought I would go ahead and get the 3rd for Christmas. He wears these shoes everyday, morning and night . Scuffing all over the yard. lol. They truly are well made quality shoes. Waterproof and true to size. And my husband is picky about his feet. He has a garage closet full of boots he bought and didn’t wear. Will definitely be buying again in 2 to 3 yrs. Please don’t stop making them.
These shoes keep your feet dry and are comfortable, the zippers are useless when wet! You will not be able to zip them up or down. Why have zippers in a shoe if you can't use them when wet! If you use soap on them they are only good for that time! You have to reapply when shoes are wet!
This is a boot story with a happy ending. We live on some acreage and have horses. I often have to trek through the rain and mud to tend them. In the past, I have used the Muck Boots Jobber model and they have been excellent. My boots need to be easy on and easy off. Difficult to find as I have a wide foot with a high instep. They also need to be rain proof. And, of course they need to be comfortable. The Muck Boots fulfilled all of these requirements and I have gone through several pair. However, a couple of months ago it had rained steadily for several days and the grass was saturated. On my way to feed the horses, carrying a feed bucket and going down a very slight grassy grade, I promptly fell on my butt. Muddy mess. When I got back to the house, I looked at the soles of the Muck boots. They were worn completely slick. And that is the issue with the Muck Boots Jobber model. The soles are lightly pebbled and wear quickly leaving little to no traction. In my search for a different boot to fit my requirements I tried two different manufacturers and had to return them both. Hard to get on and harder still to remove. Then I discovered the Propet Men's Blizzard Ankle Zip. Bingo! Perfect boot. Easy on and off, rainproof and very comfortable. They have an aggressive tread that works well in the slippery stuff. I will have to see how the longevity works out but so far, so good. I ordered the 5X and the boots are a little loose. The 3X would have fit better but these work fine. I recently ordered another pair of Propet shoes for casual use. They have not yet arrived. I am impressed with the large range of sizes available.
