These boots run kinda "roomy" , but , I wear a 9 , almost always in a boot , and most shoes , sometimes an 8.5 . I can wear these with a nice thick pair of wools socks , like a crew wool sock . they are perfect . no binding , or pressure points anyplace . They have some decent support too , not a floppy rubber boot . I really like how they look on , I have normal , I think calves , and small ankles , so I like a tall boot that doesn't have big openings , so they look styilish on the leg . these do ! not tight , but fitted . so perfect for not wide calves . I guess they do fit a wider calf also tho , according to reviewers that have them . I really like the warmth also , not quite as warm as my Ugg sheepskin older short Pac's , but waterproof , and warm . I'm happy with my purchase .
I wear between an 8 and 8.5 and I got the 8 and they fit perfect with room to wear thicker socks if I wanted! Love the print and they r comfy and warm!!! I was on the fence about getting the extra insulated ones but for what I needed these r perfect! Still warm to wear outside doing chores in cold weather and my feet don't get wet!
I LOVE these boots! I bought the size I normally wear and they fit my foot perfect. I've worn them while sledding in 5 degree weather and my feet stayed comfortably warm. I slipped into a muddy stream trying to reach a new kind of mint and they kept me perfectly dry. Only issue is if I wear a thicker sock then they are a tad tight on the top of my foot, however they are so warm I can get away with a thinner one. I've also found that if I don't wear them over leggings and tall socks they make my leg a little sweaty. Despite those couple things I absolutely love them!
My husband and I live in blustery Montana and winters get harsh, but I continue to bike ride and needed a boot that'll protect my feet from the cold, the wet, and my pants from the bike chain. We looked at other Muck boot styles, but they were all quite mannish, and then we saw these online! They're absolutely adorable, and their leg opening is much more narrow than my husband's, so it fits my leg quite comfortably. I can walk around in them without feeling like I'm clodding about TOO much (they're still a heavy boot). We took them up in the mountains this past weekend and although it was a nice day, there was still a chill in the air, but my feet did fine! No, they aren't the -60F rated boot, but honestly, I'm not going out for long when it's that cold out and these will serve me just fine pumping my little legs to the bus stop at back!
The boots look weird at first because they are kind of puffy in the shaft. I thought I looked like a cartoon character with the boots. After I stormed around in the rain, the mud, and ice, I started to like them a lot. They are very comfy and keep my toes warm. I can wear socks or without, and I can easily wear them over my skinny jeans. I do, however, have a tiny problem wearing the boots. One of my feet is 1/8" bigger than my other foot, so the backside of the heel where the shaft connects slightly bent into my ankle. That causes blister about an inch above my ankle on the backside of my leg. I put a bandaid there to prevent blister whenever I wear the boots. Overall, I love the boots.
Purchased these for hiking in Iceland in the rain and wet conditions as well as wet landings via zodiac. Tried on several pair prior to purchasing these boots. These boots worked better for me from a fit standpoint. They fit like shoes vs. boots that were loose on my feet (hope that makes sense to others). I cannot wear boots that don't fit my feet snugly like shoes . . . not tight . . . just fitted. It is very difficult to hike with boots that are loose. I normally wear a size 10 in shoes . . . and when wearing these . . . I wore 1 pair of medium thickness hiking socks. While I wasn't concerned about my feet becoming cold . . . these boots did keep my feet comfortable from a temperature standpoint. And these boots absolutely kept my feet dry. Would absolutely purchase again.
I really want to love these boots, but I can't figure out why my feet get cold in them. Everyone raves about these boots and how great they are and how warm they are. I'm so confused, am I doing something wrong, wearing the wrong socks (I've worn acrylic and wool socks), I don't know. But I paid a lot of money and have cold feet.
I haven't had the tough winter weather yet to take these awesome MuckBoots out for a hike yet. These roomy boots, I take a size 7.5 shoe, but decided to opt for the size 7 for these boots based on reviews, are perfectly comfortable and sturdy. Plus they actually look very stylish! I like how the neoprene uppers fit easily over my calves. No zippers or laces to fuss with! The true test will come when it snows here or there is a lot of rain...
