In terms of comfort, the lightweight EVA midsole adds a layer of cushioning that makes walking feel effortless, which is particularly beneficial for those long winter walks. Furthermore, the innovative Vibram Arctic Grip outsole delivers outstanding traction on wet ice, allowing you to move confidently without slipping. Love these boots, they keep your feet warm, yet look so stylish. Didn’t even need to size up, ordered my usual size 7 and there was plenty of room for my thick socks!
Wife says they keep her feet very warm in the northern Michigan weather.
I'd looked for some boots to wear at the barn this winter in cold weather and wet, snowy conditions. The more common Muck boots concerned me since reviews said that tall ones were fairly heavy and the mid height ones sometimes left shin sores from rubbing. I wanted the convenience of the pull on, but decided to give these a chance. While they're not as warm, they're more comfortable and provide much better foot support than the pull ons. With a heavy pair of winter socks, these keep my toes warm and my feet DRY! I'm quite happy with the purchase.
Ended up setting up a return and will update you on that process. I usually love my mucks. I had 3 pairs before I got these, two knee-height "chore" boots. (summer and winter) and a pair of leather Muksters women's liberty chunky heels. The leather ones were my one true love for a winter boot, cute, warm enough, and waterproof. Sadly after three years of me wearing them to death they finally gave out. So I searched for them again but they were discontinued (sad face) but then I saw these. I am a 6.5 in heels and tennis shoes but a 7 in boots so I ordered the 7s they are just roomy enough for regular or heavy socks. I have reynauds so finding warm things isn't easy and I never trust the insulation in things ** these are big enough inside to fit my electric heated insoles which never happens I always have to size up so yay. My only issue so far is they are only waterproof to the start of the lacing, as marked in the photo by the yellow line, so in so higher than 3 inches it starts to work its way into the boot quite fast and get your foot wet. I bought them for work as I'm in construction but I'm afraid you couldn't wear these in the rain because the tongue is a separate piece, my waterproof ariats have the tongue attached on both ends with a fold so you can still unlace them all the way to get your foot in. Nowhere in the description does it say waterproof to the laces.
Boots are warm, good looking and the Vibram Arctic Grip really does help grip on ice!
I did not find this to be a super cold weather boot. They work really nice down to about 25°. Below that, I found my feet getting cold if I was out a while. I think the boot runs large. And it is not one that you can easily slip on and off: you can’t be in a hurry with a toddler, for example. A boot jack certainly helps. The best part of these boots is the amazing and excellent trade.
Love these so comfortable and keep my feet warm
Wife complains about being cold all, bought these for her to walk outside. They are fine but she still complained about cold feet.
