I got these mainly for winter use, and they have *greatly* exceeded my expectations. I'm really pleased by them.Fit: Perfect. I ordered a size 10, which is the shoe size I normally wear, and they fit perfectly with athletic socks. My feet feel just the right amount of snug-ness - not too tight, and not too loose.Comfort: I have worn these on several 4-mile walks after recent snowfalls, and my feet were just as comfortable at the conclusion of the walks as they were at the beginning. These boots don't feel heavy.Warmth: I've been out with them for extended periods in snow when the temperature was -5F, and my feet were very happy - Not cold or even cool, but also not hot.Traction: They're pretty good in slippery conditions, but since they don't have any metal spikes, they are not impervious to sliding on ice.Ease of putting on and taking off: Really good. My feet slip right in and feel just the right amount of snug-ness, but come off without a struggle, albeit with a little bit of tugging (but that's what keeps them snug). My spouse was so jealous that we had to order another pair.I don't think that many products actually deserve 5 star ratings, but these boots do without any doubt.
My husband wears 8 1/2 so I ordered a 9. It was a little too big so I ordered the 8. Fits perfect. Happy with the Muck Boot.
Keep feet dry and warm. Fell strong and durable.
Great work boots! Highly recommended.
So I have a pair of arctic wide calf I think knee high boots. My wife got them for me at cabelas or bass pro. The thinh I like about them is I can literally just step into the wide calf arctics, no laces, with thick gloves on, no hands needed, and walk out the door and do chores and other stuff all day in the snow or mud. I like them so much I have been looking for a clearance sale to buy another set for when those wear out. My wife bought these arctic mid height for herself and it got me thinking. The height and width of entry for the mids is the same as the knee height just below the calf expansion. I never tightened my wide calfs. I just stepped in them and went out the door. Note: if it was snowing a lot or deep and snow would get in my boots then I would just wear my sorels under my pants. So after loving everything about the higher x wide arctics, wearing them 75% of the winter, and these are essentially the same boot below the wide calf part I bit the bullet on a sale price in June. Its a little more flimsy at the top of the boot bc the wide calfs have a rubber part at the top and that holds it open better..I can still step in with gloves on and thus using no hands, but I have to wiggle in a little more and the top is not as open. They are lying flat in the box and they came out of the box quite closed and flattened. I added a roll of towels to the top all summer as I got them on sale in June, it helped about 25%. I started wearing them the past two days. Sept 28 & 29 in fall mud.I am a 9.5 EEEE in asics running shoes and the 10 fits great. I tried their NON vibram/arctic winter soles and they are not as wide as the vibram arctic soles so that's all I will get now. I can wear these all day around the property and feel like I am in heaven. My friend made me try his on and thats how I found them. They are my favorite boots midnor wide calf. These mid height boots are as comfortable just a little harder to slip in effortlessly. I would prefer a 1 inch rubber ring around the rim to keep them spread open more than 1.5 inches, but then it would not fit under your pants as well if that was your goal.
Good boots, fit great and very comfortable to walk around in. My shoe size is 13 E Wide and the size 13 Muck Boots were too narrow. Updated to size 14 and it fits my feet width well. I'd probably recommend buying a size up if you are wide-footed.
These are amazing and very comfortable!
I've had these boots for about a year and I'm quite disappointed that the seams as you can see the photo/video have already started tearing allowing water to get in and the boots aren't nearly as warm as I thought, feet get cold after a period of time. Very disappointed especially given that these are mock boots and the fact that I've only had them for a year and the seam blows out.
