When it comes to winter footwear, the Merrell Men's Moab 3 Thermo Mid Waterproof Snow Boot stands out for its balance of comfort and ruggedness. The first thing you’ll notice is the exceptional fit; it’s designed to accommodate a range of foot shapes, providing the support needed for long hikes or strolls in the snow.
The waterproof membrane is a standout feature, effectively keeping your feet dry even during wet, slushy walks. Coupled with the 200g of PrimaLoft insulation, these boots are perfect for cold-weather activities, maintaining warmth without adding unnecessary bulk.
The Vibram IceTrek sole provides impressive traction on icy surfaces, giving you confidence as you navigate slippery paths. However, some users have noted that the boots can feel a bit bulky at times. While most find the initial comfort level high right out of the box, a slight break-in period may be required for maximum flexibility around the ankle area.
In summary, if you're seeking a reliable boot that combines effective insulation, waterproof protection, and solid traction, the Merrell Men's Moab 3 Thermo is a worthwhile investment for winter adventures.

First time wearing theses boots I did a 12 mile hike in an average of 6" of snow and a 16° temperature. My feet never got cold in the slightest bit. Comfortable from the get go. Well worth the price.
Merrell Men's Moab 3 Thermo Mid Waterproof Snow BootVery comfortable right out of the box. Kept my feet warm and dry during 2 days of heavy rains and cold temps. Just what I would expect from Merrel
These are the most comfortable and warm hiking boots ive ever worn. I have high arches and there is very good arch support in these boots. I find myself not wanting to take them off. For a good waterproof winter everyday shoe you cant beat these for the money.
Warm, comfortable, great grippy sole
Have worn these boots several times now while fishing and I'm very impressed how comfortable they are when you're continuously standing on your feet for 8-9 hours. The boots are also insulated, and they kept my feet warm and dry in the rain and cold weather. Would definitely buy these boots again and would recommend them to others.
I couldn't find these in women's sizes and have often purchased men's shoes. For me they are too wide at the toe and ankle area. They fit more like a wide width. But with extra socks they'd work. The problem for me is that I needed winter and hiking so being on the wide side I'm sure I'd have blisters not wearing that extra pair of socks.Comfortable otherwise and easy to walk in.
VERY disappointed. This is my third pair of Merrill shoes/ boots. Don't know whose is making these shoes for Merrill but man, the seams began separating only after 3 months of use. Today I looked at the seam -where the sole meets the top side and whoa- I'm trying to repair them with a top flight glue made for this specific purpose. 3 months, really?!
I use them on cold days. Not too heavy like most insulated boots.
