Great fit for my high volume (thick up and down), wide-ish, wedge shaped feet. So far, waterproof and warm, though these two features have not been rigorously tested - yet. They don't make my feet sweaty; they go on/off easily; they're pretty lightweight, especially for snow boots; they're quiet with somewhat flexible rubberish-y outsoles; their shank feels supportive; their laces are plenty long; their insoles (which are thin) are removable. The cushioning could be better, but it seems adequate. The collar brings to mind sweater knit. It has started to show wear already (because I mostly wear pants - as opposed to not), but that IS its job. Fleece, faux shearling, etc are the wear bars of the winter boot world. I am NOT leaving my ice cleats on, because when I did this before, the constant pressure might have contributed to the soles of my snow boots prematurely peeling away.I bought a 9 in Kaci 2 and have just the right amount of room for an extra pair of lightweight winter socks. For reference, Drew Krista 8.5 W fits me perfectly. Most Alegria 38s fit but can be a little snug across the ball of my foot. Merrell Pandi II 8.5 is roomy. My beloved Ariat Fat Babies are tight over the instep and need stretching. Birks are ALL wrong. Keens usually fit, but not Tevas, which are meant for narrow, long-toed feet that leave parentheses-like tracks. People with narrow feet might not like these, though a high arch should be okay. The depth seems sufficient for most orthotics.I can sometimes get by with a medium width shoe, but wide is always more comfortable. In sandals, I often wear an 8; in shoes, an 8.5; in boots, a 9.I really like these boots; I forget it's even boots I have on.
I loved these boots. I have a narrow heel but as I've gotten older I need a wide toe box. So the fact that they lace keeps my heel from slipping and they definitely have an ample wide toe box. I usually wear either a 7.5 or 8. The 7.5 felt just a little short and sadly they didn't have an 8. I did buy a newer "model" for much higher price.
As always Keen makes a quality product. These boots fit and look great on! Very rugged and comfortable too!
Love these boots. Waterproof, warm and amazing traction. I love wearing these boots in the snow to walk my dogs, trek across town on icy sidewalks, Or any outdoor winter activity. Look great with winter clothing, jeans, leggings! Very balanced tread and footbed. If you want boots sure to get you anywhere and through anything the winter throws at you - get yourself some of these!
I adore these, can wear them all day. They are waterproof and lighter than some hiking boots. I love the wider toe box. I can only say good things about these boots.
I use these boots for local hiking. (I’m in Illinois) Very comfortable and no breaking in necessary. I have a wide foot and usually order a wide width. These boots have plenty of room in the toe box for my feet. Very happy with my purchase!
I received my new Keen boots 4 days earlier than expected, packaging was good. Boots are great, they look exactly like the picture I ordered from, fit great..no need to order up a size. I usually buy boots in black, but opted for these and I am pleased.
Been a loyal customer of Keen for over 10 years. Have alot of shoes and boots. This is the first I ever returned and it made me change my mind about Keen. I always bought them because of the nice arch support and comfort they provided and roomy toebox. The removable insole had the thickness and texture of a foam egg carton. It wasn't the comfort or quality Keen is known for. The price went up but the quality of Keen went down. Good-by Keen! I'm gonna miss you but I got a nice pair of Timberland hiking boots that are good quality and great fit. Now I gotta figure out where I"m going to get the rest of my shoes, boots.
