I usually wear a size 11 in the keen shoes. When I tried on an 11 in this shoe it was too short in the length. There wasn't an 11.5 offer so I went with the 12 and its roomy, but with socks I was able to walk with comfort. There are 2 bungee cord2 that tightens the shoe. One starts at the toe and traverses the entire side of the boot. The other is at the top of the shoe and tightens around the ankle. I wore these in 20 degree weather for about an hour and felt ok. There is fleece lining around the ankle but not around the sole of the shoe. I don't think I would wear these for a long hike but walking around town they work.
Great looking and comfy boot… if you can get your feet into them.I had to use a boot stretcher to enlarge the opening to get my feet into them. If you have flat feet I suppose these might be an option if you don’t have a way to stretch them.I got them for $65 so I feel they’re worth a 4 star rating because of the low price and my ability to work with them.
Had to return the first pair because they were a little small. Ordered one size up and they are just right. Lacing takes I little getting use to. Comfortable and interesting looking.
Bought these because I like the look, needed waterproof boots and Keen seems like a reputable company.First off, these are very difficult to get on. there is no stretch in the ankle (horrible idea) so you have to cram your foot down and pull the heel up, which is difficult and hurts. Once your foot is in, the fit is very awkward. Feels very loose, cheap and unstable. Not like a real boot. Tightening on the cords is tedious and doesn't address any of the issues. Then one night I was walking fast to catch a bus and sharp pains shot up my foot as the tops of the boot pinched the tops of my toes, right on the tendons. Tried to adjust and it quickly happened again and I had to hobble to the rest of the way in pain. Never had that happen with any other footwear.I am an athletic person and have tried many shoes and boots and these have to be the worst. Can't believe I spent $90+ on these and the return window is closed... They look good, but avoid at all cost.
These fit me snugger than usual Keens but ultimately true to size. They will take some break in time, like a high quality shoe should be. I feel that the snug fit right now will minimize once they are broken in. I can't wait to use them! They are warm, have an excellent sole that will help in the snow and ice, plus they are a classy look.
I'm sure these are great boots, but I can't put them on. My high arched feet won't fit through the top.
