The KEEN Men’s Targhee Lace High Polar Waterproof Insulated Snow Shoe excels in multiple categories. Firstly, its waterproof capabilities are truly commendable. The KEEN.DRY membrane effectively keeps water at bay, allowing you to traverse through slush or sleet without worry. Secondly, the insulation provided by KEEN.WARM ensures that your feet remain cozy even when temperatures plummet. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who spend extended periods outdoors.
The design also emphasizes traction, thanks to the KEEN.FREEZE outsole that maintains flexibility even in cold weather, promoting stability on slippery surfaces. The speed lace system simplifies getting in and out of the boots, which is a significant advantage during hurried winter outings.
However, it’s worth noting that while the Targhee Lace High boots offer a comfortable fit, users may experience a slight stiffness during the initial wear, which typically eases after a short break-in period. Moreover, some may find the bulkiness of the boot a bit cumbersome if they prioritize a lightweight option.
In summary, the KEEN Men’s Targhee Lace High Polar Waterproof Insulated Snow Shoe stands out as a reliable choice for anyone looking to brave harsh winter conditions while enjoying the rugged outdoors.

Update.... I was able to use these in some pretty cold weather. My feet were kept warm and dry.As of right now i'm giving it five stars. Approximate 8 to 10 years ago, I had a pair of keens very similar to this pair. They were the best pair of snow boots I have ever had. They kept your feet warm and had good traction. I moved away so I donated them not knowing that 8 to 10 years later I would move back to snow country.I work in law enforcement and I needed something that would go with my uniform. The styling, comfort, and warmth says it all. And again I believe you get what you pay for. So as of right now I give it five stars.
I own a LOT of Keen boots and sandals. I wear out a pair of their work boots about once a year. Normally I wear the Braddock steel toe, but the weight was wearing me out. For hiking I was using the Ridge Flex or the Targhee 3. Prefering the Targhee, I ordered a pair of these high tops for the cooler weather. At the time I did not realize that they were insuated. These are the boots that I have been looking for the past several years! Comfortable, warm, and they look great. They do run about 1/2 size narrow, but the length is about right. They do loosen up with a bit of wear. I like them so much that I was worried about scraping them. I ordered a second pair, and am considering a third.
This is my second pair in 2 months. Both pair are coming g apart at the sole to upper connection. I can't return them so I am stuck with a second pair of bad boots.
Once I got the proper size (half size up from all my other Keens) they are quite comfy and nimble. They were warm enough for a quick two mile walk on snow today (30F). When snow built up on top of my toes I could feel the chill, but toes did not get cold like they do in my summer Keen boots.Didn’t expect snow-mobile-boot-warmth, and appreciate being able to drive my truck without the clunky encumbrance of more insulated snow boots.I noticed NO traction benefit on ice. In fact, I slipped more on ice this week with these boots than I’ve noticed with other footwear. The color I received seems more red-ish to me than the chestnut brown in the catalog picture.
Bought 13 they fit perfect. I also have low and hikers in same size. These are lightly insulated and have worn them 3 times ice fishing total of 9 hours on ice. Comfortable for walking and standing on lake.
Great shoe. Very comfortable and durable but I had to get a 1/2 size larger for some reason.
Like everything about them great boot..wears well...
Great boots at half price.
