The Icebug Mens Metro2 BUGrip Winter Walking Boot excels in various aspects, making it a prime choice for winter walkers. Its standout feature is undoubtedly the BUGrip technology—this includes 16 strategically placed steel studs that adapt to varying surfaces, offering grip where you need it most. Whether you're traversing icy sidewalks or slushy streets, these boots prove their worth by maintaining stability.
Comfort is another key point; the Ortholite Hybrid insole and wider toe box work together to ensure a snug yet forgiving fit, ideal for long hikes in cold conditions. The boots are also lined warmly, which adds to the overall cozy experience. Given their ankle-high design along with a side zipper, they make for easy wear without sacrificing support.
Moreover, the Protex PU outer material sets these boots apart in terms of durability and water resistance, effectively keeping moisture at bay. This means you can venture out into snowy weather without worrying about soggy socks.
Lastly, Icebug’s commitment to sustainability might resonate well with conscious consumers, as the brand ensures responsible manufacturing, promoting living wages for all factory workers.

We love our icebugs which are great for icy winter walks. They are also incredibly comfortable to wear, light weight, and warm. Since we tried them we have outfitted our entire family with one type of icebug or another. These are our go to boots for Vermont winters. I highly recommend them!
The primary reason for purchasing these is for walking my dogs. In Minnesota, in my neighborhood, there is an accumulation of ice and hard-packed snow that lasts for several weeks. Since I walk my dogs at least three times a day, I wanted footwear that is comfortable and easy to put on remove. The zippers work smoothly and make it easy to get in to and out of the boots. And, of course they have great traction on ice and snow. As with any footwear, there is always a concern about the fit. The fit is as expected and there is no break-in period. Minutes after I received mine, I put them on and went out to walk my dogs. I weighed the cost, and decided that they are good insurance against falling and injuring myself.Cheers.
I used these shoes when out walking as our roads and about anywhere we go is ice covered for 7 months out of the year. They are fairly warm when walking but if you are standing around on snow and ice when the temps are below 15 degrees, your feet will get cold. These shoes have decent support as I use them on walks of 5 to 6 miles with no problems nor any foot discomfort.Pros:Good shoes for walking on ice covered surfaces.Good fit with okay ankle supportEasy to get in and out with the side zipper.Cons:Can be a little slippery on polished concrete surfacesOnly come in black
I slipped and fell while snow blowing on my large driveway incline earlier this winter. Visited with a friend and he recommended these boots. He just got a new pair and I borrowed his old ones. Good move on my part. Ordered a full size larger to accommodate a medium heavy sock. Blew snow for 2 1/2 hours in 20- degree temps, my feet never got cold, and I had good traction with ice under the snow. The boot is pricey, but if it prevents a fall, it is worth it. Deep snow would probably require a leg gaiter. Great product.
These are nice boots and offer good traction on slippery surfaces,, but I would recommend ordering a full size shorter than what you usually wear (i.e., If you usually wear a 12, get an 11 instead). Even with thick socks or two pair of regular socks, they are a bit roomy.
I live in Minnesota and have been slipping on the ice while walking our neighbors dog. I just got these boots and they are super well-made, comfortable, and grip the ice like nothing else I’ve used. I needed the wide toe box and they fit my feet like a glove!
I walk every morning 3.2 miles in MN year around. Until I found the Icebugs, I would slip and slide with my normal walking shoes on in the winter - - and my feet would get cold. The Icebugs give me sure footing in all winter conditions, more comfortable than anything I wear and they keep my feet warm even in really cold weather. As I said, best product since sliced bread
In Minnesota with big year of snow and ice. Two many falls. These shoes with the ice grips solves walking problems gettomg garbage out, snow blowing, fetching mail, and going for a hike..Love em.....
