Great material, feels comfortable (especially after the break-in phase), and looks awesome. I love it when skate brands make shoes for cold season/environments because of comfort and nostalgic brand. When I first got them it felt tight on the sides of my feet, break-in time was about 3 solid weeks of daily wear and the first week was brutal. After that fact though, the shoe broke in and became a nice pair of winter boots. If you have really wide feet (mine are pretty wide) you might have a rougher time in these.
These are a good choice for the colder conditions. They held up well to the snow and ice. Definitely does better on ice after being broken in. Definitely recommend getting a water proof spray or something to come with them. They are spot on with the sizing and look pretty cool too. Got them about a year ago they held up well. Just eventually the seems start to come undone. Eazy to fix. Great for the money and I'd recommend them.
Originally ordered a size 9, but when it arrived it was a tad bit smaller than I expected, and the toe box area was really squeezing my feet. I considered whether I wanted to break in the size 9 or exchange for a half size larger. I decided to exchange for a half size larger, and I'm glad I did, the toe box wasn't as tight (still squeezes a bit right out of the box) but it had more room and was a comfy fit rather than a snug fit.The first few days were a bit painful, with the squeezing and super stiff leather and sole, but after those initial few days, it started to just feel like a regular sneaker. The wool lining is great for the cold but does feel a tad bit too warm when wearing them indoors for an extended period of time.I bought them for their aesthetic, and I believe them to be the best looking Moc toe boots, I do wish they had a version without the wool lining, as I want to wear them all year round.
Super comfortable and sizing is accurate. Style is great too!
Little stain that won’t wash off on tongue but minor, not enough to send back but enough to bug me and wish they could at least discount product because of that, and I opted to get a size 12 which was 20$ more than the 11 1/2. Other people were saying to go a size up a little and I’m glad I did because these fit perfect and are super comfy and feel warm. Just the right size to wear warm thermal socks in them:) I just got them so only time will tell how they actually hold up but they are clean looking with a great style typical to DC….also like that dc shoes have a 1 year warranty so if anything happens like the threads coming undone, they shouldn’t have a problem sending me a fresh pair:)
I live in breckenridge colorado where its cold, all the time. So unless you want to look like a lumber jack in flannel like everyone else, which I don’t, these are the winter boots for you! very impressed with the quality and warmth and most importantly water proof from the snow! I love the alternative skater look instead of the basic lumber jack look!
I love this DC line. They are more about style than comfort in my opinion, they will never touch timberland comfort, but that is why I bought them.. to get away from the typical work boot and get my skate style back where I spend most of my time.. (working) Made well, fit a bit smaller than your normal size. I would go a half size up than normal or you will have a painful 2 week stretching period, but I love these and have multiple pairs, for work and for play! I'm glad they exist!!
Very comfortable and actually get compliments on the boots. Would’ve never thought DC made boots. They’re awesome
