The Columbia Women’s Bugaboot III excels in several key areas that are crucial for winter footwear. Performance: With its OMNI-TECH technology, this boot effectively blocks out water while allowing moisture to escape, ensuring your feet remain comfortable throughout your activities. Comfort: The TechLite midsole offers remarkable cushioning and support, ideal for long hikes or walks in the snow.
When it comes to insulation, the 200g material delivers warmth without bulk, allowing for easier movement during rigorous outdoor tasks. These are very well made, and are 100% water proof. The sides of the tongue are sewed into the shoe, so that if the water reaches up past the base of the shoe, it is still waterproof. They are very warm, but not too warm. And they are a little bulky but not overly bulky. These boots support the ankle very well and are extremely durable. Thesebare by far, worth the price I paid for them. Also, they are true to size and fit me perfectly.
2nd Update:Am seriously in love. Wore all day today in a heavy thunderstorm. Put them on and forgot I was wearing the boots (since they look so bulky and heavy,) they're that comfortable. Absolutely comfortable, waterproof and warm.____Update: got the boots directly from Columbia today. The foot bed doesn't feel soft, but they fit perfectly and had zero defects unlike the 3 from Amazon. They're not pretty, but I wanted utilitarian boots with a grippy sole that are warm and sturdy for outside work in freezing weather with ice and snow.____I love these boots; the first pair I ordered - I go up a half size in Columbia boots from 7 to 7.5 - fit perfectly, were so cushy...loved them. The problem was a factory defect on the side where the sole is affixed to the boot. It really bugged me, so I exchanged for another. The second boot had serious factory defects, I didn't bother trying it on and exchanged for another. The third and final one--same size--was too short in the length, felt like a 7, there was no cushion on the footbed at all, it was hard and of course factory defects.I returned giving up and finally went to Columbia's site and bought there. They arrive tomorrow, will update as to quality and fit. Because I'm wondering if Amazon sells their factory defects, at least in this case or if they weren't produced well in the first place.
Nice lightweight and very warm snow boot. Easy to put on, true to size
These survived massive snow storm freezing and slushy temps. Totally waterproof and super warm!!!! Outstanding boots! I would buy again and again!
Update:I used these boots while I hiked incredible terrain in Alaska in July 2021. These boots didn’t rub blisters, and were comfortable through each hike. I climbed up steep, rocky steps on “strenuous” trails and was happy I had such a sturdy boot. Not sure how long they would hold up, but I am glad I bought them.I bought these boots for a trip to Alaska this summer since I am always cold. The box they came in was not original. The label on the inside claimed the box had been damaged in original shipment. Not sure if these were brand new or not, but they didn’t have wear on them. When I opened the box, I thought they sent me a 9.5 wide because the boot was huge. I wear duty boots for a living, so I am used to a fit that is bulkier. However, I measured the Columbia boot against my Underarmor duty boots (which I consider to be a bulky fit) and there was about a 1/2 inch difference in size at the ball of the boot. If you’re looking for a boot to make your feet look small and cute, these are not for you.Overall, after trying them on they are very similar in fit and comfort of my 8” tall duty boots.I typically wear a 9 in women’s, and sometimes a 9.5 or 10. I am glad I got the 9.5 because I feel I could wear a thicker sock without discomfort. Once I break these boots in, I will post a follow up review.
Purchased these for my wife. These are awesome boots. Very comfortable and warm. This is her second or third pair that we have purchased over the years. Great boots.
I live in Anchorage Alaska and they are perfect! Super easy to put on and use. Stylish and really support my feet! Also warm but not hot! Tread is amazing, I haven’t slipped once!
Exactly what I was looking for!!! Warm snow boot but light weight.
