The Bogs Men's 72771 Snow Boot is designed to stand up against the harshest winter conditions while ensuring your feet remain warm and dry. Made with a 100% waterproof construction, these boots provide a protective barrier against snow and moisture from top to bottom.
One standout feature is the DuraFresh bio-technology that activates to combat unwanted odors, keeping your footwear fresh even after prolonged use. Additionally, they are lined with Bogs Max-Wick technology, which effectively wicks away moisture, creating a comfortable environment for your feet throughout the day.
Another innovative aspect of the design is the BLOOM eco-friendly, algae-based EVA footbed, which not only provides cushioning but also helps clean polluted water habitats. Coupled with a durable rubber outsole featuring Rebound technology, you will experience excellent support and slip resistance, making these boots ideal for various winter activities.
Boot Model | Waterproof | Eco-Friendly Material | Traction |
---|---|---|---|
Bogs Men's 72771 | Yes | Yes (BLOOM EVA) | High |
Sorel Caribou | Yes | No | Medium |
North Face Chilkat | Yes | No | High |
When it comes to winter footwear, comfort and protection are paramount, and the Bogs Men's 72771 Snow Boot excels in both areas. The fully waterproof design ensures that no snow or moisture seeps in, allowing you to traverse through even the deepest snow drifts without worry.
The DuraFresh technology is particularly impressive, as it keeps your boots smelling fresh for longer periods, an often-overlooked feature in winter boots. The Bogs Max-Wick lining does an admirable job at managing moisture, reducing the likelihood of sweaty feet during high-intensity activities like hiking or shoveling snow.
From an environmental standpoint, the use of BLOOM algae-based EVA is commendable, making these boots a great choice for environmentally conscious consumers. You’ll feel good knowing that your purchase contributes to cleaner water habitats.
In terms of traction, the durable rubber outsole provides excellent grip on icy surfaces, and the Rebound technology offers cushioned support that feels comfortable on long walks. However, some users may find the bulkiness of the design a drawback, especially if they prefer sleeker styles.
Overall, the Bogs Men's 72771 Snow Boot is a highly functional, eco-friendly option for those seeking reliable winter protection with added comfort features.

Fit as expected. Kept feet warm. Yeah!
As I write this review the product title wrongly says "Women's" but this is the Men's version. I usually wear a Men's US 7, Women's US 8-8.5 so after reviewing the size guide for this boot on bogsfootwear.com (Shale 8" GlacialGrip) I ordered both the US 7 and the Women's US 8.5. Both boots are about the same length but the women's toe box has much less volume and is narrower, it starts to curve inward around the big toe. If you have a very narrow foot and need a low volume winter boot try the Women's. I have an average to wide foot and prefer the Men's fit. I have enough room to wiggle my toes which tells me my blood flow isn't restricted and my feet will stay warm. The Women's insole is dinky compared to the Men's fancier, thicker layered version. I find the shoe to be flexible but still supportive enough that I haven't added an orthotic though there is plenty of room for one. The gusseted tongue and padded shaft are very comfortable on the ankle. I haven't had a chance to wear it in rain but the overall quality and wind resistance gives me hope. I am pleased thus far and would recommend this boot.
Lei's review above me is correct this is the MEN'S version despite the listing saying Women's Snow Boot. It actually changes to say "Men's" in the order details after you purchase and it is shipped, and changes back to women's when you return it. It's screwy. But it does look like a solid boot when I get the right size. May update then
