True to size, cute, well-made. The Velcro rather than a slip on is a good choice. My 1.5 now 2 enjoys them.
Super cute fit my baby perfectly, great for learning to walk
Perfect fit for my toddler, very comfortable and pretty! I measured my daughter's feet at 4.88 inch from heel to toe and 2.13 inch wide and size 5 was perfect for her. She enjoys running in them and they are easy to put on.Highly recommend Stride Ride for first walkers! They have good support for little one's feet, room for the toes to wiggle and are so cute! We bought their Soft Motion Tobias sandals for my little one when she just started walking and they were great. We bought this one when it started to get colder, and her feet grew. Both shoes were very comfortable for her.We also tried their Sr Taye 2.0 shoes, but returned them, because they went a bit above her ankles and weren't comfortable for her to walk in.
My 17-month-old granddaughter was not fond of shoes--until I bought her these, and now she wants to wear them and puts them on herself. They are so comfy and so very cute! Stride Rite never disappoints.
My 12 month old has a high instep( she’s still got those chubby baby feet) so I could not find ANY shoes in store that fit. These fit pretty well. I wish the opening of the shoe was a little wider or the Velcro strap was a little longer because my baby has a chunky ankle but they work well enough with thin socks on.
My daughter is 11 months and started walking. Being the 1st baby, of course I went all out to buy her the most precious shoes to match her outfits….. she will not even stand in all the shoes I purchased. I came across these shoes on Amazon and thought I’d give them a try. These shoes are not only cute, but the sole is soft for her and they’re so light weight she’s not even tripping over them…..
My qualifications: Mother of 9 ages 22 through 4, Grandmother of a 1½ year old and my family has been buying stride rite shoes for over 40 years.Just about every brand of just about everything runs different. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go to the Stride Rite website and download their size chart or measure and use their size calculator. The thing you have to understand about stride rite is it isn't like you wonder if somebody pushed the size 5 button instead of size 6 in production, the whole shoe is different.Imagine taking a size whatever shoe and molding it to fit an actual foot, the result is a smaller size but a better shoe and there aren't many brands better than for little feet. That is even more true for early walkers. The best way I can describe it is that they help little feet, particularly fat little feet, figure out how to be feet and what type of feet they are. They have lost a bit of their Wow factor in appearance but the quality seems the same. Don't get me wrong, they still are and look like good shoes but they used to be the kind of shoe that if you saw a kid wearing them, they stood out as being really good shoes. If you have been buying shoes for as long as I have, you know what I mean.If you haven't been buying shoes for littles very long, mind that you should measure their feet again after a few weeks of being in shoes on a regular basis because they spread out really fast. Might seem obvious or might sound odd but most of my kids' feet spread out a full size when they stand until they are like 3.Also make sure to measure when their full weight on their foot. If that just isn't going to happen, with them sitting, stand in front of them with something hard against your legs and their foot on it, bend their leg and push on their knee a bit and that will give you a good size.Hopefully this was worth the read.
These shoes are super cute, but they are not really x-wide as advertised.
