Product | Material | Closure Type | Light-Up Feature |

Skechers Kids Star Wars Damager III | Leather | Hook & Loop | Yes |
Nike Kids Air Max | Mesh/Synthetic | Laces | No |
Adidas Kids Superstar | Leather | Laces | No |
The Skechers Kids Star Wars Damager III Astromech Light-Up Sneaker excels in various aspects, making it an excellent option for both parents and children alike. Starting with comfort, the soft leather upper molds to your child's foot while providing adequate support. The rubber sole is not just stylish but also functional, offering the grip necessary for outdoor adventures.
The light-up feature is a significant highlight, providing visual stimulation that kids love, especially during playdates or outings. However, keep in mind that this feature requires batteries, which might be a minor inconvenience down the road. The hook and loop closure allows for quick on-and-off action, promoting independence among toddlers who are learning to dress themselves.
When compared to other brands like Nike and Adidas, the Skechers sneaker stands out with its unique design targeted at young Star Wars aficionados. While Nike's offering focuses more on performance without the fun element, and Adidas leans toward classic styling, the Damager III successfully combines whimsical appeal with practicality.
In summary, if you're looking for a sneaker that balances fun and function, the Skechers Kids Star Wars Damager III is definitely worth considering.

My son loves these---and who doesn't love R2D2?? I personally love the price--which is affordable considering they are Skechers (which is a high quality brand) and Star Wars affiliated. My son gets a lot of compliments (from both kids AND adults) when he rocks these shoes. He also likes that they're really comfortable (he has short, yet wide feet and tends to lean towards "cushier" type shoes). He loves that they light up and make the classic R2D2 sounds, although he did mention that sometimes they can be a bit distracting. There is a button for the sound, so if you accidentally hit it, it starts making the R2D2 noises---which aren't good if you're in the middle of "quiet" time at school. He also wishes there was a way to control the lights---which can be equally distracting (case in point when we went to the movies recently). Other than that, these get 5 stars in his book, and in mine since they look great on him and he seems to love them :-)
My 7 year old, Star Wars fan loves these shoes! They look nice and feel comfortable. My only complaint is that the R2D2 sound does not work. When we pulled them from the box, one shoe made a faint noise one time and that was it. The noise button is useless. I didn't feel that they were worth sending back just for the noise button, though. These shoes look cool when they light up at night too.
These shoes fit perfect and hold up great for my 4 year old. I almost returned them or gave a lower rating because the sound was broken when they arrived. However, I realized it was probably better off that they did not make sound. This way his class is not disrupted with R2D2 noises. He loves them just as much without sound and they are a point of conversation quite often.
The only positive thing I can say is that the shoe is cute and lights up well. Unfortunately, we are on our FOURTH pair because the sound quits working after each initial use!! My son has Autism and really wants these, so I kept trying, hoping for a pair where the sound would work. But as I said, 4 pairs, no luck. We are keeping the 4th pair because at least they light up, but I am DONE with Skechers. It is unacceptable to sell a product where one of the main features doesn't work. So disappointed.
These shoes are awesome! They have lights and the R2-D2 noise. There is an on/off button and then a noise button. You can turn the lights off with the off button so they don't light up when you walk. Also when turned on you can have the lights and push a button to make the R2-D2 noise. The toe of the shoe is made of high quality plastic which makes the shoes look great. Very comfortable and surprisingly light. Found them at a shoe store for $65 and got them for $24 on Amazon. Can't beat the price.
See how many pay attention to this UNPAID review! So, these are the second pair of sneakers not fitting the bill for this holiday season. I have run out of time, and unless my son cannot fit these, I am not even bothering to send them back!Be careful, I am not sure if every pair is coming out without the sound feature... but hopefully this review will prevent yours from coming out as something you did not expect. I read so many of the reviews and thought it would be so cool to have sneakers that not only lit up, but made sounds. BEWARE!!! PAY ATTENTION! Some of the pictures of these sneakers show a strap with two worded buttons, an ON/OFF and some sort of SOUND option. Mine came with neither... guess I am the sucker and thank goodness my son is only three, so maybe just the lights will keep his attention.TOTALLY upset, and feeling duped. This may be my last year for Amazon prime. It's more like Ebay, decreasing quality, and you just cannot read the fine print anymore.Note to sellers, sell the real product... all consumers are not as gullible as you think. I will take this fall to prevent someone else from the dissapointment. #BeTrueToYourCustomers (Although it is not real, I hope it catches on!)
Brought these for my 4 year old son. He loves them. The lights are of course a hit and the sound is an added bonus. The sound is also not too loud so it's not obnoxious. The shoe was a little large but I also ordered a larger size; however, it also stays on well and my son says they are comfortable. He's only had them for a few days but people have already commented on how cool the shoes are. I would recommend these to any star wars toddler fan!
These shoes are seriously small. My son was measured at the local shoe store and was an 11.5, so I bought him boots and dress shoes in a 12.5, which give him a little bit of room for growth, I ordered these in a size 13 (because I want them to last through the summer and into the fall) and he can barely get his foot in it. When he finally smooshed his foot in, there was absolutely no room to even stick a piece of paper between his heel and the back of the shoe. I am sending them back and reordering them in a size 2. I wouldn't order them at all except for the fact that my son has his heart set on them. Other than the size, they seem to be of good quality. The lights all worked and the sound, too. They are really cute and my son is a die-hard R2-D2 fan.
