The pediped Baby-Boy's Adrian First Walker Shoe stands out in the toddler footwear market thanks to its thoughtful design and pediatrician endorsement. The breathable mesh lining enhances airflow, which is particularly important for active little feet that can get warm during play. The flexible sole allows for natural movement, encouraging your child's foot muscles to develop strength and coordination as they learn to walk.
The convenience of the hook-and-loop strap is another highlight, especially for busy parents. It allows for quick adjustments and makes putting on and taking off shoes less stressful for both you and your little one. Parents will appreciate that this shoe is machine washable, offering an easy solution for inevitable messes that come with toddler life.
On the downside, some parents have noted that the sizing can run a bit small, so it's advisable to measure your child's feet accurately before purchasing. Additionally, while the navy and sky color scheme is charming, the limited variety may not suit every child's preference.

I love Pediped shoes for my babies. Their Flex shoes are perfect for toddlers who are very capable walkers (I never tried their pre-walkers). The sole bends so easily and they feel like they're very cushioned and therefore comfortable to walk in and the fact that they're machine washable is amazing. But the BEST part is that they come with an extra insole. This means you get so much more for your money! Instead of dropping $35+ on shoes your kid will grow out of in a couple of months you buy a size up and put the extra insole in, it makes the shoe fit. Then, as their feet get bigger you take the insole out and the shoes still fit! It's like getting an extra shoe size for free! With this brand I would make sure to go to their site and print off their shoe measurement guide - the ranges are so different from brand to brand that it's easy to get a pair that are too small for your kid and be stuck playing the return/reorder game. I learned this the hard way but finally getting the right size has been worth it!This specific style (Adrian sneaker) is very cute on little boys and works well with casual and dress clothes, they also hold up really well to tons of scrapes and many machine washes, which is important with the cost of kid shoes.
My almost 3 year old son loves pediped shoes, and for a while there he refused to wear anything but pedipeds or stride rite shoes. We even had the brown Adrian sneaker in the grip'n go in a smaller size about a year ago. These shoes fit well, are very flexible, light weight and have good traction. They're also very easy to get on and off. They stand up well to toddler boy abuse, and they clean up easily too. And they're cute.
My twins are on their second pair of these, the first pairs having lasted us nearly a year. Between using the insole insert, and being able to machine wash them, I find them to be a great value, in spite of a fairly high price tag. I have one son with a wide foot and one with a medium, but these shoes are adjustable enough that they work for both. Since Amazon allows free returns, if you are able to, I suggest ordering two sizes (they definitely run small) and checking for fit. Put the extra insole in when trying these on your children, as that will start you off at the smallest size for that shoe. As their feet grow, you can then remove the insert for another several months of wear.
I went up a size from what my daughter is wearing in other Pediped styles, and still I can hardly get the velcro strap to extend all the way across the top of her foot to match the velcro on the other side. She does have a high instep, and a rather "puffy" foot. So if your child's foot is high or wide like this, know that the fit might be snug. (I can't go any larger in size, because the length is fine.) Still, a very cute style, and wonderful Pediped quality.
We got these for my son, and I like the way that the strap is easy for him to get the shoes on and off himself. We have used some other Stride Rite shoes, and the strap stretched and had to be woven through several loops and it ended up not fitting well. This is the sixth pair of Stride Rite shoes my son has had in his five years and he has worn each pair for almost a year - for the entire time that his feet fit. They last forever and are comfortable and fit well. I would recommend to others.
I bought two pairs of these shoes for my boys back in March 2011. One pair in blue and yellow for my five-year-old, and one pair in grey and navy for my two-year-old. I was excited because, let's face it, these shoes are just adorable! They arrived from Amazon and didn't disappoint. They looked perfect out of the box. They fit well (I did buy a size up) and the boys loved them! Unfortunately, that's as far as my happiness with this product went. Within three days, and after about six hours of wear, my younger son's pair were falling apart. Threads coming undone left and right! On the left shoe, the velcro strap was only staying attached by a couple of strings. Yes, the whole strap came off in half a week! I was shocked. You have to understand, I've been putting my kids in Pedipeds since 2006. Before the Adrians, I had never had a single negative thought about Pedipeds. I've been a fan since the first pair I purchased. The Adrian Flex, however, just doesn't come close to the standard I've come to know and love from Pediped. Nowhere near.Well, needless to say, I contacted Amazon about exchanging them (I thought I'd just gotten a dud pair and wanted to give them another shot). Amazon was fantastic. They sent me the free return shipping label immediately and promised to have a new pair in the mail asap. Unfortunately (so I thought at the time), I received an email the following day explaining that Amazon was out of the grey Adrians, so they refunded my money instead. Well, that turned out to be a good thing, because the pair I ordered for my five-year-old hasn't held up much better. His shoes haven't actually come apart at the seams or anything like that, but I get the impression that they could at any point. It seems like I'm cutting loose strings off every time he wears them. Understand that these haven't been his everyday shoes since April. He really only wore them for about six weeks, choosing instead to wear sandals almost every day since May. His Adrians sit in the mud room looking much older and far more used than they really are. Ratty is a good word to describe them. It really is unfortunate. I will not buy this type of shoe from Pediped again. However, I will give them another chance. I've had far too many good experiences with their products before the Adrian Flex to write the brand off altogether.
We love these shoes! Perfect balance of soft comfort but firm enough sole for my little active toddler. We really needed something he could use to run around in the yard, playground, on cement, etc. and these are perfect for that (without being firm, stiff, heavy or clunky). He loves them. The fit was a little smaller than expected. Ordered a 5.5 thinking we could use the insert for a while to make them closer to a 5. My little one wears a 4.5 to 5 in Carter's and StrideRite. Turns out the 5.5 is a perfect fit for him now.
