I bought a 5t when my son was 4t and they were (of course) too big (that was the plan...) but he still loved to wear them. He's now a 5t and they fit truly perfectly. They are his only shoes and get worn a lot each day. They've put up with snow and slush (they do get wet inside but as far as durability and appearance they look are still great) and concrete and grass.My son is 1 and he LOVES to wear them. They're a good looking shoe that matches most outfits. 5/5 would recommend.
The tongue rope helps make sure his feet are in! I went a size bigger but they are still larger than I expected!
Sizing seems right but the shoe is incredibly loose and there’s no way to tighten them near the ankle so they stay on. I pulled and knotted the elastic at the bottom and they’re still loose on my kid with average size ankles. I guess if your kid has thick ankles, five stars? But for the rest of us, not sure how to make them work.
