I love that there are finally shoes that are cute AND functional! My son has foot braces to help him walk and these make getting ready so much easier with a toddler. He loves them because they are blue and have sharks on them. I can't wait to see what else they come out with! Even after he no longer needs the braces, I will still get these. They take the stress away and he can't just rip them off like with Velcro shoes!
My son is normal a size 7.5/8 so I got a size 10 because most comments said to go up 2 sizes for AFOs but honestly I could probably have gotten a size 8 and he would have been ok even a size 9 would have been fine he would of had some room to grow. But I like my sons shoes snugged with true to size because he’s learn how to pull his feet out of his afos and with the shoes being way bigger it’s a lot easier for him to do so and then he won’t walk and we just been thinking it’s because he just don’t want to walk which still may be true lol but it’s also cause I’m his foot is slide out of his afos and he’s trying to walk on the tip of his toes. But I absolutely love how they zip all the way around and so easy to get on. We have spent so much money on shoes it’s crazy and maybe out 2 out of 50 pairs fit but still a struggle to put on. Then I found these and it’s so lovely and nice to just pop his foot in and zip up definitely gonna be ordering him a few more pairs. Wish they had some cooler boy designs like they do the girls instead of plain ones for boys but I’m also just happy to have found a pair of shoes we don’t have to struggle putting on no more.

Our son has afos & these work perfectly! So much easier than every other shoe we have tried to shove them into & his physical therapist noticed he stopped toe walking when we switched. Really easy to get on over them & love that you can put the insoles back in for days he doesn't wear his braces.
These are so well made and the zipper glides so easily. My 5 year old daughter is nonverbal but she did a dance, twirl and jump once these shoes were on; so she loved them. Plus, she can do it herself. Another independent skill! She has autism and is a sensory-seeker, so shoes MUST be quality. And these are wonderful. Thank you Billy Footwear for such mindful and compassionate design. We will be buying more! ... PS: do not be fooled by knock off versions found at Target, WM, etc. They are cheap, but not durable and in our experience, the zippers slowly unzip as your child walks because they lack the full, all around zip like Billy Footwear has implemented, and can not withstand the force of movement.
I bought two pair of these. I have had shoes just a couple of days but I’m so pleased. I have a daughter with special needs who curls her toes when I put regular shoes on and these allow me to see foot placement and I don’t have to fight with the shoe or her foot. The zipper seems to be good quality so far but we will see after a few months how it is working. The width is good but they could be a little wider. The shoes save us a lot of time during our daily dressing routine.
My grandson has CP. He walks tip toe with one foot. We could not find a shoe that would stay on until we bought these! Amazing!! Will buy more as he grows for sure!
My adult daughter has CP... She loves cute shoes, but they are hard to find do to significant tone and potential for pressure areas. These are fabulous... cute and practical. I've purchased direct from Billy as well as on Amazon. Billy has excellent customer service. I typically purchase a couple in different sizes and just return the ones that don't fit. I found I needed her sandals in one size and her high tops in another size... not much different than what I personally have to do on occasion. Use the shoe size guide that Billy offers. I have not used the shoes with my daughter's AF0's, but plan to look into the wider Billy's for that purpose. She has Billy high tops and sandals. Just the other day at the grocery store I had a woman come up to me and whisper 'don't you just love those shoes"... she too has a child with CP in need of such shoes. I've not met anyone who does not like these shoes.
