These keep my feet warm and are exactly what I wanted.
I love the way they look, but don’t feel super lush and warm inside like a hug for your feet on a cold winter night. They will however transition to a decent shoe instead of slipper if you need to run an errand if the weather isn’t too nasty.

I had a pair of these last year that I wore to death, and after trying a different brand over the past winter I'm back to these. They're very basic but comfortable, have a nice rubber sole, the heel can fold down into a mule style slipper, AND they're washable (I put them in a delicates bag and wash with other items). I'm a pretty true 8.5 but needed to size up to a 9 so my toes weren't squished. If you want to wear thick socks with them you may have to go up a full size.
