I bought these for my mom who is in a long term care facility and has severe edema in her legs and feet. They are the only shoes we can easily get on her feet and she says they are very comfortable.
Anyone with narrow feet knows, finding narrow slippers is nearly impossible. Even when I find a slippers that are labeled narrow, I’m a skeptic. The adjustable velcro inspired my to try them out. I chose a color that was less than expensive than the others, which is one of Amazon’s quirks. If you’re looking for function over price, you can price compare the different available colors. At first I was concerned the length was a bit short but now it seems ok. The slippers are very warm, but I haven’t tested them for winter yet. The warmth means these are not summer slippers. I have the black ones, and if you don’t look closely you wouldn’t know I have slippers on. I just wish that my search for narrow slippers on Amazon didn’t return results filled with slippers ideal for diabetics. Searching for slippers for narrow feet seemed to correlate to that as far as Amazon is concerned. So far not diabetic, I just have narrow feet.
The first pair I ordered (same size [9] different with) seems to be somewhat longer than the second pair. The shoes (at least one of the) are very comfortable, the most comfortable pair I own. One of them however rubs that spot just above the back foot and has created a sore. I would have given 5 stars, I gave 4, not because of the rubbing, but because of the slight shortness of the shoe. I kept them because they are not really to small, I cannot go down or up a half size that would render them to small and to large. I'm not going to attribute the one shoe problem to just the manufacturer, as I have some really hard to fit feet.
We bought these for my elderly mother. She loves them!
I had previously bought a pair of these shoes for my mother, who is 90 and weighs 100 pounds soaking wet.She has problems with edema and needed something easy to get on and off an give her some support.I really didn't look to closely at the shoes after they arrived I just took them to her and they fit and she seemed to like them quite well.So I decided to buy myself a pair about a month after. Big Mistake. I wear a size 10, and my foot is wide, Ordered a 10 W.The shoes look nice, but I noticed on the pair that came for me they looked narrow. annnd they were. My foot actually bulged the sides of the shoe out over the sole. They also pinched my feet, my right foot big toe rubbed against the toe box and hurt and other than a very thin piece of foam insole with almost no arch support the shoe bed was hard like walking barefoot on a floor.I wore them for about 1/2 hour before I couldn't take it anymore.I'm not returning the shoes, I don't drive or get out much, so I'm sending them to goodwill rather than messing around with it.I will say they look well made, and the fabric covered neoprene is very soft, I don't think a larger size would help my feet because they are too hard in the foot bed.
So many people have complimented me on the stylish look of these shoes.... Just wish they fit correctly. My toes feel very snug in the toe box yet for some reason, once I start walking with them, the feet keep sliding forward as the material stretches-the shoe is not sturdy enough. I’ve gotten blisters with these.Bummer...look great but can’t recommend.
My wife loves them.
Ordered this as my last case scenario because I can't seem to find shoes that don't hurt my feet. I have really high insteps (bone on top of foot) & all the shoes I've tried push down on my instep & cut off blood circulation. I figure with the velcro on top, this shoe should be able to adjust throughout the day for when I'm walking or sitting & my feet swell. Unfortunately, when adjusting the velcro over my instep, the edge of the velcro no longer matches with the rest of the velcro & sticks out over the edge, making it push against the ankle when not moving. This then makes it rub against the ankle when walking & is very abrasive. If only it was 0.5 inch - 3/4 inch narrower, it would have been perfect! Very disappointed that these don't fit since they feel great everywhere else in terms on my toe box, extra wide width, & high arches. I'll just have to find a pair with skinnier Velcro's in the future.
