Great shoes for those with feet that no longer like regular shoes. These are easy to wear and give great support. A bit pricey but such a great pair of slipper/shoes!
My father wore out the slippers he purchased many years ago and I have not had any luck finding ones just like them (which is what he wanted) so I have been on a quest for a good replacement. I purchased four different slippers and took them for him to try on. He wasn't happy with any of them. The slippers without any velcro adjustments hurt to put them on and pull off. The ones with the velcro had two or three straps which made them bulky and he couldn't understand how to get them on (he has cognitive impairment due to dementia and strokes). They also were very heavy and even after I had made the adjustments to assure a proper fit, they were bulky and clumsy enough to concern me that they were going to trip him up. We also had issues with the size 10s being too small and the size 11s too large. After learning from those failures, it helped me narrow my search and I settled on these. The fact they come in half sizes is wonderful since you are more likely to get a proper fit. The one velcro strap is enough give him room to adjust them without being so overly complicated that he can't do it himself. When they are on his feet, the shoe looks slim and well-fitted without bulk or weight so he walks very sure-footed. Even at the age of 91, he still likes to walk (without any walker or cane) so correctly fitting shoes is a must. When I put them on him the first time, his whole face lit up and he had a grin saying "good! comfortable!" He was able to get up and walk about without any change to his walk and he was quite pleased. He will have these on all of his waking hours - both in his memory care unit and when he goes on outings. These are perfect for both situations and for long periods of time. I will be purchasing a second pair to keep as backup so we don't have to go through this again.
Pops is 86 and says he likes them and says they feel comfy. He did say they run a little large in the length and width and his foot slides a little in them even after pulling the velcro strap across tight regardless if he had socks on or not.I was looking for something with support and traction, but comfy enough for him to wear to bed on those nights requiring more than the typical number of bathroom trips. As he is older and falls are a major concern, he slips too easily walking in his socks and he won't go barefoot, traditional slip-on slippers don't stay on his feet in bed and big ole lace-up tennis shoes are just not for sleeping in. They are well constructed and fitted my criteria.
I have had to have all my toes amputated , have tried several kinds of bedroom shoes , these are the 1st ones I have had that are comfortable and most importantly , stay on my feet and I don't have to worry about them coming off and are lasting a long time . Like them so much , have ordered another pair to have when these wear out . They are worth the extra cost over other shoes .
I bought these for my dad who has significant foot and leg swelling from IV saline and his cancer medications. He typically wears an 11.5 M but I purchased, in the Sand Corduroy color, a size 12 3E. They fit him like a dream and he is happy with the velcro closure. He said they are very comfortable and he is thrilled not to have to try to squish his feet into his regular slippers. He can open the shoe very wide to slide in his feet, then quickly velcro them shut to the comfort level he wants. The actual color of the shoe is just a little lighter than what I see on my monitor. The shoes are nice enough looking to go out and about or to walk around the house. He has had no problems with the soles being slippery on his tile and hardwood floors. I highly recommend this shoe/slipper!
These shoes are great for swollen or different sized feet. Durable and comfortable BUT the pair they sent was in a plain box and clearly a return with white foot gunk on the insoles. Very gross! If I had had the option for re-boxed, used product I would have chosen new instead, but this was sold as NEW. Not nice!
The slippers did in fact fit as expected. Due to the fact that my feet are extremely swollen due to a disorder called Lymphodema in which I'm currently getting treatment for, these slippers are indeed a godsend. They are very comfortable, look well-made, and even though for me are a little pricey compared to slippers that I've purchased in the past, they are worth the price paid, mainly due to the fit as well as the way that they are made.I can get my feet into the opening pretty well, but due to the fact that my right foot is more swollen then the left, the velcro closure just barely closes on that slipper. But I guess it is only because of that foot, and not in any way due to the design of the slippers in and of themselves. Otherwise, they are made very well, no visible threads showing from the side where the sole is attached to the upper, and the sole is very thick, providing not only durability, but also ease, comfort, and safety with walking in them. Of course, results will vary depending on the individual person wearing them, and their specific condition. But for those individuals dealing with most instances of swollen feet, These slippers are worth it. Great product and fast service.
