I purchased these for my wife. We live in northern Minnesota and she wanted some warm sleepers.She loves them! I bought these slippers after my pup chewed up my former slippers (something that is quite funny when you see the drawing on the box these slippers are packaged in).They are wonderful! They keep my feet toasty and I like the hard sole (between us, I wear them when I drop off my child at school and when I make a run for coffee). Sometimes my feet get so warm I have to take them off for a few minutes! I guess my pup’s naughtiness had a silver lining - these slippers are amazing!!
I received my first pair of Juliet Old Friend slippers as a Christmas gift from my son. They were one of the best gifts I've ever received. They have memory foam and conform to my foot; they have a hard sole and I practically live in them indoors. I have orthotics in my regular shoes, but have no foot pain wearing Old Friend without orthotics. I am probably on my 4th pair as I usually order a new pair every year for myself when I find a good sale on Amazon. (Prior to ordering, I used to wear $10 slippers from the big box store, but no more). I usually order a size up because I wear them with socks. They are tight for a few wearings, but soon are broken in to be the most comfortable slipper ever. To be honest, I was shocked at the price that my son paid originally, but they are worth every penny.
As many other folks have said these fit very snug... at first. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 and bought the size 9. The first winter they were too snug for my toes which are used to flip flops most of the time. I'm now in my second winter wearing them and I love them. They are unbelievably warm and feel great, very soft and cushiony. I wear mine with the top up so my ankles stay warmer. They are well made with no seam problems. The sole allows me to wear them outside if I need to and show very little wear. I wish I had sprayed them with some sort of sealer - I am a messy cook so it might have helped.
I normally wear a size 10 but ordered a size 11 since someone said they ran small. They fit true to size since the size 11 was too long. The sheepskin is nice and the footbed is removable. The soles are too flexible and don’t have good support. The footbed threw my foot to the inside of the slipper when walking. There is too much loose side to side movement in the ankle area. I returned these to purchase Old Friend Snowbird slippers which have more support in the footbed.
I got these as a substitute for what I actually wanted (the bootee slippers) but those in women's size were too expensive at over 100$.I generally wear wide shoes, was pleased these slipped on without being tight. The soles are fine for short outdorsing, like taking the dog out to whizz or dropping people offMy feet aren't cold in these which is the point of my getting them.The fur collar looks punched into the leather (small groups like a toothbrush vs hair). The sheen of the inner fur makes me think it's synthetic. Which is okay, was just hoping these would be more like the other pair I've bought for my spouse which are shearling (bootee, and same price as these but larger men's size)
These fit true to size. Very comfortable to walk in. Inside of slipper is so soft on your feet. Nice and warm.
