Quite pleased with these slippers.First, they are warm. I started out wearing a pair of thin socks along with these slippers but my feet got too hot!. Without socks, my feet are just right. The memory foam looks thick but squishes down. Still, it's enough for comfort. The sole is very solid with a very good tread. If I'd gotten these last week I could have tried them on ice. These are definitely indoor/outdoor slippers! Easy to clean too.I ordered the XXL even though my shoe size is 11 because previous Isotoner XXL slippers I'd tried were too snug. These are actually too large! The XXL will easily fit a size 12 and maybe 13 (in the US). Their tag on the slippers says sizes 13-14.The drawbacks are minor.First and foremost, the soles make a slapping sound on solid wood floors, sort of like a dress shoe. If you have a family of light sleepers this will awaken them. My wife often goes to bed before I do and sleeps in later than I so I try hard to walk quietly when I'm on the bedroom-side of the house. The second thing about the sole is that it will sometimes squeak or chirp like a tennis shoe on a basketball court. This may just be the newness as I'm noticing less and less of the squeak as I wear them.If your house is carpeted, you live by yourself or your family isn't easily awakened, then these aren't issues.Third, when I started wearing the slippers without my socks I noticed an irritating feeling like a clipped toenail under my foot. It turned out to be tags. These are tucked way up in the slipper where you cannot read them. I took a utility knife and cut the tags off as closely as I could. Only then could I actually see what they said. One says "Faux Fur," the other, cleaning instructions -Wash in cool water. (Be careful not to nick the faux fur or foam when cutting! Pull on the tag and let it rip while cutting.)None of these are deal breakers unless you want a quiet slipper. I like the style (I got the blue), they feel great, they keep my feet warm, and I can go outside wearing these.Highly recommend!
I have to say, after seeing the product description, I couldn’t see the size chart anywhere, so I needed to just guess, hope, and pray!Luckily, I chose correctly. I wear a size 11 in US Men’s, and the XL fits, but a little bit big, I would say. This is a strange slipper because it fits correctly, but it slips off of my foot easily. I don’t know if that’s just how it’s made, or if it’s the size. Regardless, this is a nice slipper/house shoe, but I can tell that I am going to wear through it very quickly. It isn’t particularly “good looking” as I don’t like the stitch on the too, but it’s comfortable and no one will really see them. They have a nice, solid sole in case I need to walk outside.Overall, they fulfill the need I had and I look forward to using these for months.
First the good: These moccasin/slippers are nice and warm and the overall stitching is excellent. I wear a size 8 1/2 D width shoe so I ordered the medium size. They are just a tiny bit tight and the heal flops just a little bit when I walk. Not really bad or uncomfortable, I just wanted to give you an idea of the sizing. Now the bad: They come with those little plastic anchors that are used to attach things to the garment, or shoe. The problem is that they were attached at the front, or toe of the moccasin which made it extremely difficult to remove the piece inside the shoe after you clipped the “T” portion off the outside bottom of the moccasin. I was able to remove all the plastic bits inside the moccasins except one piece that was under the foot pad, which seems to be sewn in place. I ended up with one plastic stub sticking out the bottom of the shoe (see photo). So the shoe seems fine, getting the attached plastic hold downs off/out is a problem.Without the plastic tag(s) issue this would have been a five star review.
Nice color, nice style, good material... but a very wide fit. That pretty much sums it all up right there, but no doubt, someone out there is going to want me to elaborate... so elaborate, I shall. Thank you. Thank you very much. These slippers have the quality, respected, brand name, and they look decent, they're made well, and the soles seem durable enough and are good enough, for outdoor use... but here's the thing, I'm a shoe size 11, and always have been, since birth.... ok ok, since I've been an adult, excuse me...anyhow, just in the last few years, I started actually preferring "wide" sized shoes... not extra wide or extra extra wide, just "wide". Once I found out wide shoes fit well, I tried "extra wide"... well, they were always "too wide" for me. Point is, these are supposed to be regular, non wide, size "11-12".... and these fit very wide on me... like an "extra wide" normally would, or even an extra, extra wide. This makes them very loose on the sides and gives that feeling the shoes are going to come off, as you walk, with your heels lifting high in the shoe with every step. Furthermore, length wise, these size 11-12's, fit fine, with my toes coming right up to the tip as they should, and comfortably so.... I'd just hate to be the guy with size 12 feet...although the "cramped length", might help mitigate the "roomy width" and the "heel slippage" issue, but I'm no structural engineer, or even a shoe designer, for that matter... but I needlessly digress These slippers are not only wide fitting, they "look" wide, when you look down on them from above... which is not an appealing look, from any perspective. Now, that's some elaboratin' if I ever saw elaboratin'... so there you have it. Over and out.
The memory foam insoles of these slippers is very thick and luxurious - it's like walking on a cloud. They are super warm and cozy. Isotoner generally makes very nice products for a decent price, and these are no exception. The look is nice - like moccasins - and they have been very durable so far. I've worn them outside to take trash cans out, or deal with the pool in the back yard, and the sole is tough enough for concrete and other rough surfaces. The stiching is very neat and clean and the outer material is soft and attractive looking. These are my new go-to slippers.
