First, I'm not convinced that memory foam belongs in shoe soles. Pillows and mattresses, yes; shoe soles, maybe not.The problem is the foam is so thick and squishy it throws your balance a bit when you walk in these slippers, especially if you're a senior like me whose balance is easily upset.Previous to these Hanes slippers I had tried a clog-like backless pair from an unknown Chinese firm, sold by Amazon. I was hoping that these slippers with a back would stabilize walking in these.They're still a little too squishy for my liking; maybe with more time I'll get better used to walking in them.My other beef is these are just a little snug. I ordered the medium size, which should correspond to a men's 8-9 shoe size. I wear an 8.5, and these slippers press on my big toes a little.So guys wearing 9 shoes should probably order a size larger.On the positive side, these slippers look good and have a textured plastic sole that would probably give you some traction walking on your lawn or working in your garden.I wish the back lip had one of those little fruit loops to help you pull on the slippers, however.Finally, these are reasonably priced at under $30.In summary, if you like memory foam insoles, you might like these slippers.
