Slipper is warm without being too hot (60% wool/40% poly upper is nice and breathable). It's well made with great support. Runs true to size, I'm a solid size 12 and 12 fit me fine with extra toe space.Be aware that the top portion of the slipper is what I would call a "snug sock" fit. The gripe I have is the upper portion fits quite snug at the top of the foot. I would prefer a but more room to allow for more comfort and better circulation to the foot. I don't by any means have a "fat" foot but maybe I needed a 12 wide. (wide sizes were not offered on Amazon). If you do have a "fat" or swolen foot look for slippers elsewhere. I'm hoping the upper eventually breaks in a bit and loosens up. Otherwise I'm happy with these slippers especially for the price I paid.
There is no holes for your feet to breathe.
