I've lived in these during the winter months for the past few years. Sizing was a little tricky at first but I figured it out. Not the easiest slippers to slip into initially but after awhile they loosen up and are quite cozy. They're perfect for indoors as well as running outside to grab mail, dump trash, etc.
Wrong. I ordered a size up because I have a high instep. Way too big. Lovely slipper. Returning and purchasing a size 7.Update: Disappointed. I reordered and downsized to my regular size (7). Alas previous reviews were spot on. Could not get the slipper in size on… size 8 way too large. I will be returning. My search continues.
These slippers are very hard they lol like they were made with cardboard all around!! Not a comfortable slipper for my mother Horrible!! Very disappointed coming from Clark’s 😔😔😔
I bought these as I wanted some slippers that weren't backless so my heel wouldn't slide up and down, but the fake fur is so slippery it defeats the purpose. As several reviews have said, they are hard to get on mostly because the felt fabric is very stiff. Bought a full size larger than most of my shoes but still hard to get on. Footbed cushioning is fairly good.
First off, these are rugged, comfortable, and attractive slippers. Definitely order a size UP from your norm, the heel is rather stiff and this can make getting them on a bit of a struggle. Once on, they are dreamy!
I was excited for these slippers because everyone raves about Clarks. The reviews stating the opening is too narrow were right. I had to literally take scissors and cut the openings a little wider just to get my feet in. They are SUPER warm but very uncomfortable. They’re very durable which is what I need but I have arthritis in my knees so I need supportive slippers. These ended up making my feet hurt and didn’t help my knees at all. They were so uncomfortable my feet actually ended up sore for two days which I’ve never experienced from slippers before. I ended up throwing them away and I’m disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend buying these slippers if you like comfort.
I wear slippers around the house all day long so it is important that I have very comfortable ones. I wear Acorn spa flips during the summer but winter slippers are a bit more difficult to find. I have tried 2 different pairs of winter Acorns but they are not as comfortable as the spa slippers -- when I am wearing slippers, I don't want to feel like I have shoes on or am just walking on the hard floor. I had read mostly negative reviews on these slippers but decided to give them a try anyway and am glad I did. Most of the negative reviews centered around sizing and that they were difficult to get into. First, I have found that Clark's are cut small -- at least for me. Perhaps some of the reviewers were experiencing the same problem. Normally, I wear a 6-1/2 but wear a 7-1/2 in Clark's. Since I like to wear a heavier sock, I ordered an 8 and they are perfect. My review indicates "Fit as expected" and is based on MY expectation on a fit for Clark's and what I have learned about their sizing. As for the difficulty in actually getting the slipper on -- yes, the first time I put them on, they were a bit hard to get on but, as with most shoes, they loosened up. That said, I don't think they will become so loose as to fall off when I walk -- they are not made from that type of material. I find these slippers very comfortable and am glad I ignored the negative reviews and ordered them.
I wear a 6 1/2 and ordered a 7 based on reviews because my feet are a little bit wide but basically normal. I have Clark’s ballet flats in 61/2 and 7 and prefer the 7. These are too big in a 7. No problem getting them on and my heal slides up and down when walking. They are a stiff shoe but comfortable. They are supposed to be a sturdier indoor outdoor slipper and that’s what they are.
