I have loved Acorn slippers since I purchased my first Sherpa looking pair from an upscale retailer years ago. I would still have that pair and a few more if not for a house fire.I purchased another pair a few years ago and because we puppy sit for my son who's younger puppies step on my feet and have snagged them I needed a replacement.I ordered these even though they are bit different in style then my normal picks. ( they looked a bit more fitted). I am so glad I did! My feet feel so good. Whatever they use in the sole just kind of melts around my foot molding like they were made for me. They fit so nice not only because they are a more streamlined style (less boxy) they have the added benefit of being adjustable at the ankle with elastic and a toggle. At the end of the day when I go to pull my feet up on the couch I usually would have to drop my slippers on the flood because they would pull off as you adjust your legs on the footrest. Well not these. That adjustable strap keeps them right in place for the next trip To the kitchen for snacks or a drink refill.
I'm a 7.5 in shoes and prefer 8 for boots or shoes where I know I'll be wearing a sock. The medium works fine for me. Yes, that acorn logo under the heel is annoying even in socks, for me at least. I'm glad I bought these during a sale (approx. $20 USD) as I would have returned them had I bought them at full price. The inside padding is still soft, but not as cushiony as when new. This is to be expected a bit. I have not attempted to wash these yet, so I don't know how they will hold up. If you can get these on a sale, give them a try. I'll try to post an update in a few months.
I bought these slippers because I live somewhere where there is snow and ice in the winter and also just got a puppy. Hence, going outside alot whether I want to or not. These slippers are super comfortable and have a sole that will withstand a walk outside without becoming soaked. Would definitely purchase again!
I tend to prefer slide slippers since I am lazy putting these things on. However, I have small feet and leaving the cord looser, I can get my feet into these . My last pair of acorn slippers lasted for years, I know I had them over 10 years.
Didn't fit well and just not for me.
Been searching for a comfortable slipper shoe and I found the perfect one here. I have a narrow foot so I like the cinching top part. I am a 6.5 AA size, but ordered the small (size 5-6). Even that is a bit wide on me, and I have plenty of room for a sock...so I would say they run a bit large. I like the feature of the rubber sole and being able to wear outside to get the mail, etc... I even wear on short errands out and about! They are soft, warm, cozy, and stylish.
love the look and comfy fit..
So, I work in an informal work setting as a home health aide so I need my feet comfortable at all times. They need to be soft in case I need to get on a bed to move a clients body for the purpose of comfort. They need to have traction on the bottom so that I can’t transport her when she’s moving from place to place standing. So far these feel absolutely perfect. My only concern is that, after a week, the adjustable elastic cord on of of the shoes has deconformed. So it no longer springs back. I don’t need it. But it happened super fast and that’s pretty annoying. My other complaint is that, the glue on the shoe is pretty detectable by the toes and I’m just concerned that this is a foreshadowing of the shoe falling apart.
