Great slippers and nice and warm. Just what I was looking for.
This is the second pair of slippers I’ve ordered for my Father. True to size. Made very well. Soft & cozy.
I received a pair of Acorn slippers for Christmas a bit over 20 years ago. They have lasted me through every winter season since then and remained warm and still have a pretty good, if looser, fit. I still wear the old pair with a pair of thick wool socks, but decided to purchase a new pair to wear for the next 20 years. You can see side by side pictures of the broken in ones next to the new ones for comparison. Yes the old ones are dirty, but I probably cleaned them twice in 20+ years. The new ones fit pretty sung for the first few days of wearing them, so be aware of that. I wear a 10.5 shoe and got size 11 in these and they fit great after a couple weeks of wearing them. The old saying goes "you get what you pay for" and I agree with that for 20 plus years with my first pair. They might cost a bit more, but just buy 'em, you wont be disappointed!
Purchased these slippers about a month ago because of the good reviews on quality but had some concern for the size based on other comments. I ended up ordering a pair that was a half size larger. They only come in full sizes (9, 10, 11 etc.) and I typically wear a size in between. If you wear a 10 for example you may want to go up to 11. When they arrived they were a little snug but within a few days of regular wear they loosened up just enough that they are now quite comfortable without socks. Not sure how they will do when it gets colder and I wear them without socks. I tend to wear them with the collar around the ankle flipped up and so if you want the extra warmth you may want to get a taller slipper. They work fine flipped up but the underside of the collar is unfinished (just the bare white underside of the leather) so they don't look that nice. I would have preferred that they were finished so that you could wear them either way. Definitely suggest you buy them slightly larger and be prepared to have to wear them a bit to get them to conform a bit to your foot. Otherwise they are a nice warm slipper with a good rubber sole that allows for brief trips outside or down to the basement when necessary.
Footwear is very comfortable. I am very satisfied with my purchase. This pair is certainly worth the cost. Hopefully this pair will last longer than the typical $14.00+ from discount retailers.
I bought these slippers for my husband for Christmas. Though they are nice slippers, they were a bit tight for him. He said they didn’t slide well in the carpet. Because of his Parkinson’s disease I’m afraid of him falling so I had to return.
Well made and warm. My one regret is letting Amazon tell me what size to purchase. I would have preferred one size bigger for wearing socks inside the slippers.
As a truck driver, I bought this. p.o.s. For when I was shut down for my 10 hour reset. I went a full size larger in order to HOPEFULLY accommodate my large diabetic feet. Complete with painful foot ulcers. Well, it still didn’t work and I STILL had a problem getting them on. TOO FREAKIN’ TIGHT! Too bad my return “envelope” expired already. I had to resign my driving position on 5/12 but I got STUCK in the hospital shortly thereafter. Now I’m stuck with a pair of slippers that do NOT fit my feet. If y’all DO intend to buy this garbage, you’re gonna need to go TWO sizes larger than ACTUAL, just to make sure they’re gonna fit.Dearfoams are bigger and will actually FIT, BUT, the soles split and tear and do NOT last long. I’ve returned 3 pairs of those already.
