I cannot count on 2 hands the amount of Etnies shoes I have purchased in the last 3 years. I really like the comfort-ability and sizing of how they fit. I found a shoe I like and I am sticking with it until I have purchased the last pair that fits me. Now, don't get me wrong, I wont be splitting any firewood or camping, or hiking the Olympic National Forest in these, but for the trip to the grocery store, shopping or even a hot date with the missus, you bet these are on my feet! I can wear them all day when I am at work in training and still have support for my feet. The arch support is not existent, as these were marketed for skateboarders by skateboarders, but the STI foam in-souls are amazing..
These are literally my favorite shoe to wear. I've bought this same brand/model of shoe for the last couple years now. They seem to last longer than any other shoe I've had, are very comfy to wear as an all-purpose sneaker, and come at what I think is a reasonable cost. They have a very nice foam sole that generally lasts me about 4-5 months before it starts to wear out, and that's with me wearing them every day and walking a couple miles a day at least.Typically I guess these are skater shoes, and that's why I bought them originally, but I no longer skate but the shoes are too good to not use whether I skate or not.
Fit well. Looks nice and clean. No complaints.
The most comfortable pair of $30 shoes I have ever owned. I work in a very dusty/dirty warehouse and I bought these specifically because they were black on black and because they were $30. I was very surprised with how comfortable they are. I was expecting something cheap like a pair of Walmart shoes, but I would put these on the same level as $60+ shoes. The ONLY downside, was that they were originally too small when they came in. I wear a 13 wide in normal tennis shoes. I forgot about the "wide" part and ordered a size 13. When they came in, I couldn't even get my foot all the way in to the shoe. I returned the shoes and replaced them a size 15. The 15's are seriously some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. So just a heads up if you need canoes for shoes like I do, order a size or two bigger than you normally would. Even if they still don't fit, Etnies' return rate is really fast. I had a new pair of shoes here in 2 days.
Like the title says I rocked Van's all black Docket style shoes for at least ten years, probably bought at least 3 to 4 pairs, loved that shoe. Then came a day when it was time for a new pair and they were gone! None at Kohl's, none on ebay or amazon, this launched me into a panick! I decided to give these dudes a try because color and style is about the closest I've found when compared to the vans, they look good, are comfortable and all in all a solid replacement shoe. I wear these daily regardless of the weather, though that is my one complaint, the Vans were heavily paded and great even in snow, these are padded, just not quite as much so they don't handle snow or heavy rain quite as well, but still not bad.
Older guy here. Still rocking the skate shoes even though I dont skate. If your feet are a bit wide and you're having problems with other brands or those "slim fit" shoes that many of us have encountered, no worries. These are the old school fit.
My husband is a fan of these shoes. They are really hard to find in different colors other than black. When they do put out a new color they sell out quickly. Great shoes though.
