The Etnies mens Czar in Black/Dark Grey/Gum is not just a stylish skate shoe; it's built to withstand the rigors of skating while providing exceptional comfort. This shoe features a durable cupsole design that incorporates an STI evolution foam midsole, ensuring both longevity and cushioning for your feet. The upper is crafted with a fused-on, injected rubber toe cap, augmenting its toughness without compromising on aesthetics.
Designed for performance, the shoe includes a padded tongue and collar, which enhance comfort during intense skate sessions. The Pro Foam 1 polyurethane insole offers additional cushioning, while the full-length flex grooves in the 400 NBS rubber outsole provide impressive flexibility. For added convenience, hidden lace loops protect your laces, preventing any untimely snags as you skate.
The outsole isn't just functional; it also sports an exposed STI evolution foam icon logo alongside a beefy tread pattern that combines traditional herringbone and car tire-like designs for optimal grip. Established in 1986, Etnies has made a name for itself as a leader in skateboard footwear, and the Czar model stays true to that legacy.

Great shoes..These have removable insoles my old Jeffersons didnt.Good look on zeh feet, comfortable. This is my 2nd or 3rd pair of Maranas
these were purchased for my husband by my husband. purchased after tired of vans being too stiff and brooks being to much of a tennis shoe. he loves the feel, very comfortable, and so far has held up well. would recommend and purchase again
I can say confidently that these are among some of the best skate shoes I’ve ever owned. The reinforcement around the toe area has kept it from degrading, it’s lasted at least 2x as long as other skate shoes I’ve owned. Almost no wear at all to the bottom soles, and the rubber around the toe has also degraded slowly. The fit is as expected, fits me well (ordered the same size I get for other shoes). The laces will tear, like every other skate shoe when you’re doing a lot of flicking. But the holes for the laces have not ripped, so re-lacing is easy. The shoes are sturdy and provide decent support, more so than a smaller designed shoe like classic vans or converse.Overall, these shoes are great for skateboarding. Not too expensive and worth any extra cost because of the durability. Highly recommended.
I typically order directly from the etnies website, but I cut it too close this year so ordered from amazon. The shoes were in new shape and perfect condition, BUT they were not in an etnies box at all. Just rolling around in a generic plain box. Thankfully my husband didnt mind, but these weren't marked as returns or anything to indicate they weren't straight from the factory so I guess I just wasn't expecting that.Overall great product, but maybe don't give as a gift haha. The dark green/brown sole is super nice looking too!
What else is there to say? This and Joslin’s Etnies are on the legends list of the best skate shoes.
I purchased these to make installing solar panels a bit easier. They will not match the grip of a Tiger Paw shoe. But, the smooth bottom is very grippy. I will be buying another pair when these wear out.
There were awesome shoes and I wish they would have fit my hubby. He is a size 14 and it is really not the sellers fault, but they do run narrow and we had to return them. The color was amazing and everything was awesome, just thought I would let the wider footsies know, these are not for you. But if you do not have wide feed, these look great in person as well!
I grew up wearing all brands of skateboard shoes, but I always remembered the one pair of Etnies I had several years ago because they were comfortable, fashionable, and durable all in one. I recently developed a pain in the ball of my foot, and after a little researched I figured it was the new shoes I had been wearing because they were more narrow than I was used to. I decided to go back to a wider shoe, and more specifically I was going to try Etnies again. I wanted something that could pass as casual/office shoe without looking like I was trying to be 17 again, so when I found these I really liked that they didn't have a bunch of graffiti art and other crap on them. I also liked that they used Michelin rubber for the sole because I had a problem with the sole falling apart on a couple pairs of Sketchers I had, not to mention the Michelin name for traction. When I received them I liked them even more than when I saw them online, and while they had a slight break-in period they were comfortable right out of the box. After a few months of wearing these I can honestly say they are my favorite shoes ever. They look awesome, they are holding up great, and they're super comfortable. In fact that pain in the ball of my foot went away after I switched to these! I 100% recommend these shoes, and I plan to buy another pair for the future.
