Very good quality shoes, well made, comfortable, good looking and perform very well with flat pedals, just what I needed. They set very firmly in the pedals, almost like using clipless, but still allow for little position adjustments, I can feel I can pedal efficiently and comfortably.Do note, however, that these shoes are well reinforced all around and are somewhat stiff at certain areas, so they feel rather tight or small at first and do need some determined breaking in until they adapt to your feet. I wore them for 3 full days until they felt really comfortable, now I feel they were taylor made for my feet.
I ordered 10 and they where long enough but way too tight. I returned them but the company had some type of mishap sending me the 10.5s. I was not very please at how long it took to get the shoes back. However the shoes are cool. Someone said the grip to the petals where bad. I disagree, they are not shredded either. Durability seems great. Summary... Company sucked a little, shoes are good.
If you're looking for new MTB shoes for flat pedals, I'm sure you've noticed there's not a whole lot to choose from. I previously had Giro Jacket's, which were great but pretty bulky and don't really like any of the offerings from Five Ten. Saw these pop up in a search, looked into them a little and decided to try them out. The fit was spot on. I wear an 8.5 in my Nike's so I ordered an 8.5 in these, fit was perfect IMO. The quality of the shoes is great, the Thinsulate liner and Scotch Guard are nice touches. They're not too bulky like a skate shoe which is nice as well. I will say the Michelin soles aren't *quite* as grippy as whatever Giro used on my previous shoes, but that's fine as it allows me to actually reposition my feet if need be whereas it was very hard to do with the Giros and TMac pedals. If you're needing new MTB shoes and want to stray from the norm, I'd highly suggest giving these shoes a try. I'm very happy with them and feel they're a great alternative to other brands. Give them a try!
Great shoes for mtb I use flat pedals with pins sticking up and they will not slip. I feel like I'm almost clipped in. The sole is very stiff, but not bad to walk in.. Great to ride in... and they look great!
I am returning my second pair of shoes. This shoe is designed extremely small. I would have to order a shoe 1 1/2 sizes bigger than I normally wear. Besides the length I think they are also too narrow and not tall enough. I haven't had this kind of problem with any other shoes in the past. Plan accordingly. Otherwise they look like they might be very nice but I haven't been able to try them.
Hight quality biking shoes. True fit, I ordered 10.5, based on my feet measurment (28.5cm) and they fit perfect! Quality materials and nice design!
That Michelin rubber took an unusually long time to break in man they're good after you do. Tough as nails. I had a straight red hot metal slug fall right on my toe. Did not melt through, which was impressive. Also I'm a slip-on kind of guy never tie em'… so you can see the heel wear on the back wall. Pictures taken about 12 months of ownership.
Great shoe for mtb fits perfect and comfortable. Shoes grip well to the pedals and no issues with them on my Bentonville trip. Would recommend
