I have worn a shoe like this or one similar for about 20 years on a daily basis (I previously wore Van's Skate shoes but they stopped making it in an all black, padded suede version. I have leg and foot problems and really can't tolerate a normal street or walking shoe. Definitely not a dress shoe! The fact that these are all black let me get away with using them in more formal settings (my business casual office as well as with a suit for weddings and funerals). The sole is low enough that I fit a 1" tall prosthetic in the left shoe without anyone noticing.Because of my foot and leg problems, I have tried many shoes over the years (my wife calls me Imelda) and none have come close to the comfort I get in these shoes. The classic all black suede skate shoe has faded in popularity with the years (most seem to have a a visibly white colored sole and/or made from canvas). I live in fear that they will stop making these hence I have 3 sets stockpiled in the basement. They last for years even with everyday wear so this should get me well into my sixties. Buy these shoes!
This is my favorite skate shoe ever. The padding is perfectly placed and aportioned for maximum protection. The boardfeel is as good as it could possibly be with so much padding. The shoes are durable, protective, and comfortable. Style is a preference, and my preference says that these look dope. I wear one pair out and buy another, with this being my third, but certainly not my last. There's a reason they were so popular back in the day. Highly recommend.
Great Skate Shoe, comfort and function blend effortlessly with a cool natural aesthetic that allows this shoe to go with any looser trousers. The Fat tongue was a real plus for me, some people hate it, but it your like me then big box ticked. Seller was really helpful when logistics company screwed up. Will probably get a few more pairs.
Like the fit! Skates like a champ!
This makes my third pair of es skateboard shoes and I've loved every pair. They look great, feel great and out last any others. They are what Van's use to be.
Son asked for as a gift and size was perfect. He was super excited to receive and wears all the time
Yep same here. I've been wearing these since high school. And I'm going to be 36 next week. Wow, as scary as that sounds, at least my feet look good, feel good, because these shoes, are good. And I wear size 10 not 8.
