The Emerica Men's The Romero Laced Skate Shoe blends style and functionality seamlessly, crafted under the guidance of pro skater Leo Romero. This shoe encapsulates everything a skateboarder needs for peak performance while also maintaining a trendy aesthetic.
One of the standout features of this updated classic is its low profile cupsole construction. This design drastically enhances your boardfeel, allowing for better control and responsiveness as you navigate various terrains. The Emerica Triangle Tread pattern is another critical element, featuring a high-density rubber heel drag pod that provides exceptional grip and durability, perfect for precision tricks and grinds.
Moreover, the tongue stabilizing wings help secure your foot in place, ensuring a snug fit even during the most demanding sessions. Whether you're hitting the park or grinding rails, these shoes are built to keep up with your moves.

When it comes to comfort, the Emerica Men's The Romero Laced Skate Shoe excels. As soon as you slip them on, you'll appreciate the snug fit provided by the tongue stabilizing wings. The low profile cup sole gives you an immediate connection with your skateboard, making every trick feel smoother and more controlled.
On the durability front, these shoes hold their ground against rigorous use. The one-piece toe cap reduces wear and tear, often seen in other skate shoes after just a few sessions. Coupled with the robust rubber outer material and high-density tread, you can expect these shoes to last through countless sessions.
While they perform well in most conditions, it's worth noting that these shoes might not be the best choice for wet weather. The rubber material isn't designed for water resistance, which could limit your options if you're caught out in the rain. Additionally, some users have noted that the sizing appears to run slightly small, so trying them on before purchasing is advisable.

They look nice, but if you're wearing low cut socks/no socks, the back of your ankles will bleed.Edit 03/22/23: Now that they've been broken in, they're pretty good.
Was stoked to find the shoes I wore in high school but only to find that they are much bigger (and yes I sized down as they are men’s)Tried returning them once I finally wore them about 2 weeks after they came and was bummed they weren’t just 2 sizes too big but the return window was closed pretty quick. I gave it a shot messaging them to see if I could replace them w a smaller size or even a different pair but was pretty shocked to find out that no one would respond. So unfortunately I’m stuck with them and also soured my nostalgic love for emerica.
