When it comes to skate shoes, comfort is key, and the DC Unisex-Child Heathrow excels in this aspect. The OrthoLite footbed provides cushy support, perfect for those long hours spent on the board. Additionally, the internal toe cap reinforcement ensures that the shoe maintains its shape and provides stability, crucial for energetic movements.
The aesthetic appeal of the Peach Parfait colorway makes these shoes stand out, allowing kids to express their unique style while skating. Coupled with the durable materials used, these shoes are built to withstand the rigors of daily use.
However, potential buyers should note that some users have reported the sizing can be a bit on the smaller side. It’s advisable to try them on or refer to the size chart before purchasing. Furthermore, since the upper is made of mesh, these shoes may not perform well in heavy rain or wet conditions.

My 10 yr old sons last few pairs of Asics fell apart rather quickly, so decided to try these. While he likes the look of skate shoes, he prefers the support of an athletic shoe. Enter the DC Heathrow..best of both worlds! What I didn't realize when ordering was that the they are also no tie/slip on. Even better! Who has time to tie their shoes (seriously though, when running out the door for school that extra min. saved does help). Bought the black/red ones and he liked them so much, I went back and bought the grey/green 1/2 size up so he can wear them for awhile. I couldn't tell from the picture that the DC emblem on the tongue of the grey/green ones are sparkly silver. When he first opened them he asked if they were girl shoes, I said no (maybe they are geared for girls...who knows), and that was the end of it, he didn't care. You honestly can't even tell when they're on.
My son loves these "running" shoes as he calls them. Every year I generally buy him one pair of running shoes and one pair of casual shoes before school starts. Normally his casual pair is DC's and his running pair is Nike or New Balance. But this year he wanted both pair to be DC and so far I'm very happy with the purchase. He says they are comfy and seem to fit his foot well. The true test will be to see how long they last him into the school year. I'll update my review then.
Love the design and look, they were very cute on my daughter, but they are at least a half size or more smaller than other shoes she has tried on. Also the design of the opening makes it kind of difficult for her to put them on. She was able to do it, but it was definitely more work than shoes with a separated tongue.
Great quality amd color matched what showed when ordering. The shoe fit just a little smaller than expected but that wasn't a problem as I ordered up a size. Very light weight and comfy shoe. My kid begs to wear these.
My kid loves these shoes. They look like they have laces, but are actually slip ons. Perfect if you have a kid who struggles with tying laces. They have held up really well considering they are the only shoes he'll wear. They do run small, so size up.
My son wears a 7 in toddler shoes, so that's the size I ordered. The shoes were way to small and it was very difficult to put the shoe on because they are slip-ons and not lace-ups and so there's not enough give with the elastic to really even get the foot in the shoe.Definitely order a size up with this product.
Every kid should have a pair of these! Extremely comfortable and light. My son loves not having to tie them (elastic shoe strings). I bought a pair to try out since he liked his so much, and now the whole family has at least 1 pair!
so light weight and my grandson loves them.. the fit is awesome and easy for him to put on himself.
