I am an avid skateboarder and needed a new shoe, so i saw this one and also saw that it was on sale so i decided to go for it. It came early which is always nice. The shoe is spacious and this is nice especially because i have big feet (hehe) and it feels very comfortable when i skateboard. It lasted me pretty long (as i bought two pairs) before a hole starts to form from the wear and tear of skating around and doing tricks. The fabric used is nice as well and smooth when you first get it. Also in my opinion, it's pretty stylish if you just want to wear it for the looks and as i said earlier: it's comfortable so that's a plus. I will probably keep getting these shoes in the future as it's to MY kind of liking; preference. The only thing that i wish it came with was an extra pair of shoelaces because those tend to rip pretty quickly.
These are an amazing looking shoe. The materials and colors are perfect and I love how comfortable they are. They feel very sturdy and as if they will last a long time. My feet are very hard to fit shoes for, as some brands a 13 will fit while some brands a 15 is needed. I went ahead and tried a size 14 and they fit me pretty good. I have adequate toe space but the shoe could be a tad wider. That said, after wearing them for just a few days they seemed to start breaking in very well and I feel like it won't be an issue.Great shoe, very comfortable. Give it time to break in and you should be happy.NOTE: 45" laces will -not- be long enough to tie with this shoe.Would buy again. :)
I like this type of shoe for casual wear much more than running shoes, which I find clumsy and ugly. I have owned three pairs of DC shoes, all from Amazon. They are sturdy, hold up well, do not fall apart and are very slow to wear out. They are attractive and easy to keep clean. Be advised that they are a snug fit. My size is 9, but even 9.5 is snug. Next pair I will buy 10, although I have new bought size 10 shoes in my life. Because they are sturdy and not floppy, they also take a bit of breaking in. The materials are thick and solid, making them very durable, but also stiff for the first week or so. My opinion is that DC shoes are superior to any of the equivalents that I have owned or seen in stores.
These shoes are very comfortable and seem to be well-made, though the real test of its quality will be how long they last. The "dynamic grip" on the sole makes them a bit more flexible than your average skate shoe, though it still provides plenty of support. The crevices between the nubs on the sole tend to pick up things like grass, dirt, pebbles, and chunks of asphalt, though, so if you happen to care about keeping your shoes absolutely clean, this might annoy you. You probably won't spend much time analyzing the bottom of your shoe, though.
I usually wear skateboard shoes for the size and comfort, the shoes usually fit my foot better than most shoes do. Most of the time they seem to have a wider shoe, this one didn't and made it pretty uncomfortable, I usually wear an 11 or 12 on some shoes, went with 11.5 I'd definitely order the upper size shoe after what I've experienced. I'm hoping it will get better after I break them in a little longer, got the black and orange ones for baseball season, If you're wondering the orange isn't "Giants orange" it's a more neon type color, yet darker at the same time. But it's close enough to match with the rest of your Giants gear.
If you have a wider foot, they will tend to feel a bit narrow at first, but quickly loosen up as they break in. Very comfortable shoes. I wear them for both daily wear and skate boarding. This is my third pair and probably not my last (if they keep making them). They are pretty durable, but if you skate in them you will wear a hole in the bottom eventually, But that is what happens when soft rubber meets abrasive grip tape so no surprises there. I like the support across the top (above the ball of the foot) and the board feel with these shoes. Hiking shoes they are not, and probably not the best choice if you are on your feet all day, but they are plenty comfortable for general all day wear. I can definitely recommend DC shoes based on my experience with them.
The shoes fit as expected. The people who are leaving bad reviews about the sizing being off have probably never owned a pair of DC's before as most major shoe companies will have different fits ( just because you wear a 12 in nike doesn't always mean a 12 in another brand will fit the same). The shoes are comfortable and have plenty of padding inside. I've worn DC shoes now for the past 8 years because they last so much longer than other brands before falling apart. I have flat feet and normal tennis shoes or sneakers( whatever you call them) hurt my feet to bad to wear all the time but DC's style is perfect and I have never had problems with hurting my feet, and I use to work in a kitchen for up to 10 hours a day sometimes. I definitely recommend DC's Pure style line to anyone.
I actually ordered a full size larger with the hope it would fit the width of my foot. It was just right in length so it runs small. I know this is a skate shoe but it is too hard to find a flat soled shoe that has support. The shoe base is hard, no cushioning. My back needs nearly reversed drop or 0mm to not be in pain. I was hopeful and it would have worked out if they offered the shoe in wide widths. A cushion insert would have worked for the hardness factor. I am sure this is a wonderful shoe for most skateboarders but I am looking for a walking shoe! It is a nice looking shoe!
