Detailed Review

This shoe perfectly embodies the minimalist philosophy, allowing your feet to move naturally and freely. The zero-drop sole is a standout feature, promoting a more aligned posture and stable foundation as you navigate trails or city streets. The adjustable hook-and-loop closure ensures that the shoe fits snugly over your instep, which not only enhances comfort but also provides additional support during active movements.

The breathability of the synthetic outer material is another notable aspect. It keeps your feet cool during intense workouts or warm weather outings. However, if you're used to traditional running shoes with substantial cushioning, transitioning to this minimalist option may require some adjustment.

The wide toe box is an excellent design choice, accommodating various foot shapes and ensuring your toes have ample space to splay. This feature significantly reduces the risk of blisters and discomfort often caused by narrower shoes.

In terms of care, these shoes hold up well to machine washing, which is a significant advantage for outdoor enthusiasts who frequently encounter mud and debris on their adventures.

Overall, the WHITIN Women's Minimalist Barefoot Shoes are a commendable choice for athletes seeking a closer connection to the ground paired with freedom of movement and a focus on natural biomechanics.

Happy Feet / Raynaud's

In the winter my feet are often uncomfortable with very tender toes. I have Raynaud's Syndrome and finding a comfortable shoe to accommodate warm socks is tricky. At the $43 price point I set my expectations low, but I am pleasantly surprised after wearing these often for the past three weeks! These are roomy, lightweight, and seem durable with everyday wear inside and a good amount of walking outdoors. I have a very high arch, but am not feeling the need to insert a high arch insole, as the walking gait that the barefoot style sole encourages is natural and unbelievably comfortable.I took them for a test run on a treadmill today, and felt like I could fly - no pain in toes or arches, and the tread is sound for treadmill as well as natural surfaces. My first pair was white - after three weeks they're understandably showing dirt. I'm going to put them in the washer and let them air dry and see how they come out. I ordered a second pair today in light gray with slightly different styling in the heel padding. If those feel as good as my first pair, I'll purchase several other colors. These are my new "go to" shoes, and for someone who always prefers a cute pair of heeled boot, that's saying a lot! I used to follow the "it's not how you feel, it's how you look" mantra - with maturity comes wisdom, especially regarding foot comfort!Best. Shoes. Ever.

Comfortable hiking shoes!

Update: Wow! These are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned! These are for hiking all terrains, as I've been on a variety of off-the-beaten-paths with them: soggy, muddy, rocky, grassy, slopes, forest, etc. They get more comfortable with wear, as well. Just wipe clean with soap and water. I'm ordering another pair in a different color. Former review: Although they had mixed reviews, I’m glad I went ahead and purchased these barefoot/minimalist shoes. Did a walk-test yesterday and they passed! Features I love: lightweight, flexible, comfort, easy-to-clean, work on all terrain, and not bad-looking either. I also think they will stretch/relax a bit more with continued wear. Using with lightweight foot socks in colder weather for walks/short hikes (I do not jog). Great value for the price. I recommend them!

Size Down for Reg/Narrow Feet

These are really good for weight lifting and light indoor cardio. There is NOT much support in these which is what makes them good for lifting weights. The tops are stretchy and comfortable. The outsoles are very flexible and give me the grip I like on my laminate wood flooring. The heel is a tad too deep for my feet, but that a my-feet problem. I feel like I'm getting a better workout when wearing these than when I was wearing my Hokas.Note: I would not wear these outside for long walks/runs on my gravel road due to the minimalist style. I would choose a more cushioned and supportive shoe for any type of longer distance walk/run or vacation activities.Size: Originally, I ordered my usual 7.5 size, but since my feet are regular to narrow, I found that I had to reorder the next size down which fit much better for my use. I took off one star due to the shoes coming in a size range rather than half sizes. I will be recommending this brand to my daughter who has wide feet!

LOVE these!

At first I was going to return them without even trying them out because i wasn't sure about the look of them. But out of necessity i had to wear them, as the shoes i had on got soaked from a pressure washing job. I had these shoes in my car because I had planned to return them. But because my shoes were wet, I put these on and couldn't believe how much i loved them! They are VERY comfy and after 6 wears now, they still seem to be of good quality. The price is certainly good, too. I sure hope they continue to work out because so far I'm really happy with them.

First bare foot shoes

If I only wear them for about 2 hours as water shoes that are great. Very flexible, light weight and fit like a sock. I have a high instep and a wide toe box so they become very uncomfortable the longer I wear them and I slide around in them with socks. I have tried different shoes from the same company and been very happy this was just not a great fit and I don’t like the look of the plastic on the side.

Very comfortable!

I'm so picky with shoes -it's so hard for me to find something I like! I prefer barefoot shoes and decided to give these a try. They have more support than I would expect from a barefoot shoe, but the toe box is nice and big. I would call it a "beginner" barefoot shoe. Overall they're very comfortable, though, and seem like they're very well made! I'm enjoying them and would buy them again.

Great width in toe box, plastic doesn't hold up.

I've had theae about a 1.5 years now, but only recently started wearing them again (went about 6+ months of not wearing them), so only about a year of total wear, and primarily only at the gym. I am a VERY wide-footed and I was really impressed with the toe box (very flexible and roomy). I put them through the ringer with every different movement from Olympic lifting, running, gymnastics, calisthenics, free weights, to just everyday wear and, while they're easily the most comfortable shoes I've owned, the plastic that hold the laces busted pretty quickly. Reaching out to the manufacturer to see about warranty or anything, but that's my take for now 🤷‍♀️
