The Under Armour Girls Grade School Assert 10 is specifically designed for the active young athlete who values both performance and style. The construction features a lightweight mesh upper which gives it an airy feel, perfect for warmer days or intense play. The synthetic overlays are strategically placed to bolster support where it's needed most, ensuring that your child can enjoy their activities without worrying about foot fatigue or discomfort.
Comfort is paramount, and the EVA sockliner provides a plush layer underfoot, giving a soft landing with every step. The one-piece EVA midsole further enhances this experience, transforming those cushioned landings into powerful takeoffs—ideal for sprinting on the playground or running track.
As for the outsole, it comes crafted from solid rubber, strategically covering high-impact zones for greater durability while keeping the weight down. This means your child's shoes can withstand the rigors of daily use without falling apart. Plus, the standard lace tie helps achieve a personalized fit, holding everything securely in place during vigorous activities.
A noteworthy aspect of the Assert 10 is its wide sizing option. Many children have wider feet than the average shoe accommodates, and Under Armour's design considers this, providing a more tailored fit for those with broader feet.
On the downside, there are warnings associated with potential chemical exposure, which is always a concern to be aware of as a parent. Some users also report that these shoes may run slightly larger, so it’s advisable to consider trying them on before purchasing. Additionally, while they provide sufficient cushioning, arch support may not be as robust as found in more specialized athletic footwear.

These are consistently great shoes. They fit well and wear well. I have no "breaking in" period, as they are comfortable as soon as I put them on the first time.
This boy shoe is pretty well made, it hasn't started to fray and easy to clean. The bottom design get removed quickly. Because they walk on them daily. #UnderArmour should solid black the bottoms to help them look better as they wear.
Am a 70 year old woman. These shoes are great. Look good, room for my toes. Will order again.
The first day or two they really needed to be broken in. They run a bit small so I would order at least 1/2-size larger next time. They’re stiff at first but fine once broken in. They’re sturdy and made to last IMO.
Nice looking, very comfortable and affordable.
Comfortable, true to size, my active 11 year old loves them!
They were my second choice in this brand but very happy with them. They fit him and he loves them.
My grandson wears a 31/2 shoe. I went up to a 5 in this shoe and it is almost too small for him. It won’t be long before I have to buy a new size. I went up in size thinking he could wear them longer, but no it’s gonna be a short wear time. I kept them because he needed them now.
