Detailed Review

The Saucony Women's Ride 9 excels in multiple categories, making it a top choice for runners of all levels. Its lightweight construction allows for speed without sacrificing support. The incorporation of Everun technology means that every step you take is met with exceptional cushioning, reducing fatigue during longer runs.

In terms of fit, the narrow sizing option caters specifically to those with narrower feet, ensuring a snug and comfortable experience. This tailored fit helps prevent blisters and discomfort that can arise from wearing ill-fitting shoes.

The traction provided by the outsole makes this shoe suitable for both road and trail running. Whether you’re hitting the pavement or mixing it up with some off-road trails, you’ll find the grip to be reliable.

While the shoe boasts many advantages, potential buyers should consider that it may not suit individuals with wider feet due to its narrow design. Additionally, the price point could be a bit steep for someone just starting their running journey.

Love my Sauconys!

I am very pleased with my Saucony Ride shoes. I have been buying this brand since 2007, when I started running half marathons. They do run a little small, but I noticed this from the first time I bought them. I normally wear a 9W, but I have to get a 9 1/2 W in Saucony. They are very light weight and comfortable. There have been a few of the Ride models that weren't as good as others, but the past 4 yrs they've done well. I don't find the toe gait to be narrow like others have stated, but maybe that's because I get the Wide version. I've tried other running shoes, but have had to take them back. I highly recommend if you're a first time runner getting fitted for a shoes because everyone's feet are different. There's just nothing as comfortable to me as these shoes.

Good for all the miles

The Saucony Ride 9 was a huge go to shoe for all my easy runs or long runs. It didn't have any weird blister/rub spots, fit well, had great cushioning and washed well after muddy runs. I'm a female runner of about 125 lbs and this shoe held up really well. My only regret is that the Ride 10 is not as wonderful so I've had to move on to another brand, but if history repeats itself, Saucony will make some adjustments and these will likely be in the rotation again soon.

Love the color and decent support, but hate the fit!

Love the color and decent support, but hate the fit! I'm a bit disappointed with my recent Saucony running shoe purchases as it seems the manufacturer has made a design change making the toe box much more narrow causing the outer edges to be too tight and thereby causing a lot of pain in my baby toes that lends to calluses. I wish they would over wide shoe options on all styles and/or go back to the wider widths originally made. The color on these is a brillant and beautiful pink. The insole is nice, but doesn't seem as cushiony as a previous pair of Everun soles. Because of the comfort issues, I've rated this product with 4 stars.

My Old Faithfuls

I have bought 4 pairs of this model of the saucony ride because i just LOVE THEM. I have a wider sole of my foot with a narrow heel and these have been the best fitting shoe for years. The first couple weeks they can feel a bit narrow but they definitely mold to my foot and feel great. Definitely give it a shot if you're looking for a supportive neutral shoe.

A great shoe, but get a proper fitting from a run-specialty store.

Every running shoe needs proper fitting from a respectable specialty run store. That said, this is a quality shoe for the right foot. For a high arch, add an insert as I don't feel their claim of a high arch is accurate. Other than that, this is among the best high-cushioned running shoes. Decent toe box, great rebounding cushion, some durability, no hot spots I can find. This one is for my daughter for cross-country team training. Absolutely use a high cushion shoe for running on sidewalks as teen team kids do. I use this one for my distance runs training for marathons and they come through for me also. The 8mm drop is helpful.

Terrible Shoe

I really wanted to like these, but I just can't. The area where the laces meet the toe area digs in to the top of my big toe on my right foot. It only hurts for about .5 a mile, then I can't feel it because I think my toes are a little numb. Its pretty weird. The color is great and overall the shoe is light weight and seems to offer my underpronating/high arches the right support. Since I can't return, I will probably just keep them until I can save up for the next pair. I walk about 20-30 miles a week.UPDATE: After 2 days of trying every lacing technique and sock type, I just can not wear these shoes at all. They have left a bruise on the top of my right big toe. I couldn't even keep these for another 2 days to wait for shipping, so I had to bite it and buy new shoes (asics) at the store. If you buy these on Amazon, wear them around your house for a day or two, walk, squat, go up and down stairs, whatever to make sure they don't end up pinching. Mine felt ok at first, but are now extremely painful...well the right one anyway, the left is fine. Terrible shoes (for me).

Like running on clouds, they come is a 10.5 wide for women in a great color! HOORAY!

Like running on cloudsonly issue was the padding near the ankle caused bleeding, its a little stiff. I had to break that in. These run true to size. I have worn NIKE running shoes (awful), Mizunas, and Brooks and these shoes are my favorite for a wide foot. It's also hard to find a 10.5 in a Wide shoe so I was thrilled to find these. I actually wear a 10 but I get a half size up to prevent black toe. I run 24 miles a week in these and there are holding up great so far!

Tight uppers, smooth ride

I tried the Ride after Saucony changed the Triumph ISO--I loved the older version of this shoe. Superior cushioning and support in a lightweight shoe is my preference. This new Ride feels very stiff in the upper and overly narrow in the width. I don't have a wide foot, but these feel tight and inflexible. The right one feels almost too narrow but I'm breaking it in gradually and loosening the lacing as much as possible. Otherwise the cushioning is good, and they live up to their name in providing a smooth, supportive ride. I do 20 miles plus a week. Ultimately I recommend these for the smooth feel underfoot, but the regular width won't suit anyone with even a slightly wide foot.
