When it comes to running shoes, finding the right balance between cushioning, weight, and fit is crucial. The Saucony Men's Echelon 9 excels in these areas, making it an excellent choice for both avid runners and casual joggers. The incorporation of PWRRUN cushioning significantly enhances the softness of the ride, allowing for longer runs without discomfort.
The updated geometry of the shoe brings noticeable improvements, particularly with the toe spring and heel beveling. This makes transitions smoother and allows for a more natural running motion. If you're someone who enjoys pushing the pace or simply desires a responsive feel, the Echelon 9 does not disappoint.
While the shoe is fantastically cushioned, some may find that it doesn’t provide adequate lateral support for more intense activities. However, this is largely overshadowed by its overall comfort and adaptability. Whether on a treadmill or tackling outdoor trails, the Echelon 9 maintains its footing.

I use them to walk 1-2 miles 2X a week and gym 2X week. Very comfortable, soft, they felt strange at first because soul is thicker then use to but the soul is balanced not just a high heal area.
Great fit and comfort
Good shoe… great looking design… just not better than the Echelon 8’s.The 8’s were nearly perfect, just my sizing is odd… one foot slightly longer than the other… so always having one shoe snug, other perfect.Anyway, the 9’s heels are oddly unbalanced, truly curious if I ended up with a shoe that shouldn’t of passed QC… it’s as if the left heal is tilted.Love the fit of these over the 8’s, they’re slightly larger.
My dad can’t stop raving about these shoes
Great value! Soothing to feet!
I have run and walked in these and my feet feel great. I would considering these to be a wider, more comfortable shoe compared with other sleeker running shoes.
Crazy huge size and really strange fit when standing in the shoes.
These shoes are designed for orthotic users. I am using barefoot science insoles, which are thinner than the provided insole. I had to put a liner in the shoes before inserting my insole. That being said, they are very comfy and cushioned but not squishy. I have very sore feet so I appreciate this alot. They do run wide and I have a regular width, low volume foot, a bunion and the generous toebox is worth dealing with the extra width for me. It's a stable, supportive shoe but not a support shoe. I'm very happy I finally found something I can wear. I have issues with my feet, flexible, flat, hypersensitive and I can't wear socks due to the hypersensitivity and the inside of these shoes are smooth and non irritating. I hope this helps someone else.
