Good color. Good fit. Just the right size for my daughter.
My daughter has wide feet - not extra wide - just wide and the Saucony shoes fit her well. She has quite a few different brands over the years and the Saucony wide fitting seems to suit her best. The shoe appears well-made and durable. We actually owned them in a smaller size before and found they held up to all sorts of abuse with the only problem being that the mesh front can get dusty - which is of course a problem with all designs using mesh not specifically this brand. We've thrown them in the washing machine a few times and they have survived that abuse without falling apartIt is impossible for us to find wide fitting shoes as the only shoe stores near us usually have only one ot two pairs in stock so I've bought a lot of shoes online over the years and Amazon has some crazy prices at times if you are lucky.Last, but not least, my daughter likes the velcro as she can get them on and off easily before and after gym and dance classes.I wish there were a few more color options but I would buy them again
Cute sneaker, good fit. Unfortunately, after wearing them 3 times the anterior tab of the sole is pulling away from the sneaker. I’m disappointed as it is hard to find wide/extra wide shoes.
I've found The Shoes! Every runner looks for their Sole Mate shoes, and I've found mine. A few years ago I discovered Saucony Kids' Cohesion with the Velcro strap and elastic lace closure, and I bought several pairs over the past three or four years. I first bought the wide width, but then I bought the extra wides, which made my oddly-shaped feet very happy. But, this year, the only xw's I could find were these Cohesion Big Kids 4 XW with no laces but two heavy-duty Velcro strap closures.I've given up on any kind of lace-up running shoes because they strangle my high insteps, so I like the straps at the closure. But, even though I was skeptical of the no-lace strap-only closure running shoes (because what if the Velcro gives out during a half or whole marathon?) I figured I'd live on the edge and give it a shot. So, when these little guys arrived on Friday, I put in some Ariat footbeds and went for a 12 mile run. The straps held up and whenever my shoes needed adjusting, all I had to do was pull the straps and I was off! And yesterday, these shoes carried me for my first 20-mile run of the season! Another great thing about the strap-only closure is that I didn't even have to sit down to undo the shoes when I needed to add a bandage to a blister I got from another pair of shoes. These shoes are also great for people who have limited use of both hands, as well.
We have purchased many pairs of these sneakers over the past few years for our multiply disabled daughter. So few youth-sized choices out there in extra-wide widths! PLEASE, SAUCONY, KEEP MAKING THIS TWO STRAP MODEL IN BIGGER SIZES! Like many former preemie children with mild CP or other disabilities, our daughter wears hard plastic foot brace orthotics (SMO's), and still cannot tie a shoe. This model has the excellent support needed when pairing with SMO's, and two Velcro straps, so she can put her own sneakers on with ease. Very important for a young lady. The last time she needed new sneakers, we could not find youth size XW "Cohesion" with the two Velcro straps anywhere, in stores or online, just a new version with stretchy lacing and one strap. Not easy to get on, even for an adult with a shoehorn. School was not happy. She was not happy. But we struggled on with them, because there was no alternative. How thrilled I am to have found a pair of the old two strap model in her size! We have noticed that Sauconys do tend to run a bit shorter than Stride-rite sneakers of the same size, but the instep is roomier.
My daughter hates messing with laces, and has a large wide foot. Her shoes must also be cute because she's 10. It's very difficult to find a shoe that fits all those requirements and this one does. I am very happy with them so far, although she hasn't worn them very much. I will update this review if they don't wear well.
These have been perfect for my child who has AFOs/CMOs. I am hoping this company will keep making these in all the size. I bought the last available 6 x-wide.
This is my four year old daughter's first real, big girl sneakers. We used to purchase the Saucony Rides for her and the transition from the toddler shoes to these big girl shoes was fairly smooth. She did complain about the arch being uncomfortable for the first couple of days but after the adjustment she loves the shoes. They are her go-to pair now. She's pretty rough on shoes but these have held up for a month of almost exclusive use. They fit true to size. We ordered the 11 XW US Little Kid. I try not to get any obnoxious colored shoes because I like shoes to match outfits and I don't want to have to wear sunglasses because her shoes are glowing every color of the rainbow. The pink and silver go with most everything she wears because she never wears an outfit without pink. Overall we're happy with the purchase.
