Perfect for Zumba!

This is the only shoe that I found comfortable for my Zumba classes. Fit is a tad big ( I'm am a size 6) but I just wear two pairs of socks and it works! Love the ability to slide and spin. Please make more colors!

Ordered and returned twice- too bad, because they are comfortable and good looking but....

My review is not only about the sizing.I usually wear Bloch canvas Boosts, but I wanted to try something else to see how they worked. I also wanted something that wasn't basic black like the Boosts, and was perhaps a bit sportier looking- but with all the same "cushy heel/toe" qualities of the bigger split-sole dance sneakers. In a normal shoe I generally wear an 8. Sometimes, depending on the shoe, a 7.5, but I have a slightly wide toe area, so usually 8's work best. In the Bloch Canvas Boost I wear a 9. Against my better judgement, I followed the review advice and ordered a Sansha Electron in 10. It was too big. So I sent them back and ordered the 9.The 9 fit pretty well- my toe was at the end of the shoe, bumping it a bit but nothing uncomfortable. Despite this, the shoe still felt a little big. I found the inside of the shoe to be odd- I think it would have been perfect if all the areas had "hit" correctly- there is a nice support/cushion area right behind the ball of the foot which would be great for impact, but takes a bit getting used to feeling it there. The split sole is very flexible, so the shoe needs to feet perfectly in order to take advantage of that. My foot tended to just curl up inside the shoe rather than grab the arch because it was just that shade too big for me.Really cool looking though. So that's the fit and the outside of the shoe- all things I think I could have broken in/worked with/gotten used to BUT the sole of this shoe is just hard plastic, and incredibly slick- it felt like a plastic toy sole or something. What were they thinking? I had noticed the aspect of the sole with the first pair, but figured they were unstable because they were just too big, and waited for the 2nd pair. My Bloch Boosts, when brand new, tend to be a bit slippery, but never like the Electrons. It was like skating. I have 3 surfaces in my house; scuffed hardwood (less slippery), newer hardwood (kindof slippery) and laminate (can be very slippery) and these are essentially the surfaces I have at work. The Electrons were hopeless. Even just trying them on and taking a few steps on each surface felt unstable. I gave them a chance, but after barely 5 minutes, I realized that all my leg muscles were really doing was trying to prevent me from slipping. Back in box they went.I am a Zumba instructor, and I teach 4 classes a week, and I take classes as well. Perhaps these shoes would be good for something like carpet or rubberized surfaces or outdoors? I don't know, but for classic indoor hardwood-type floor surfaces, they are slippery to the point of risky.

Perfect Fit

I'm very pleased with the Sansha Electron Dance shoes purchased for zumba. They are comfortable, light, stylish and working out great for zumba. They are easy to pivot and move in, saving my knees.

Nice looking but uncomfortable

A really nice looking dance shoes, but unfortunately, not comfortable. I wore them in my salsa class, as well as for Zumba, and my feet hurt after the classes. Although the size seems OK (Size 9 for my regular US size 8), The high arch inside the shoe does not fit well with my natural foot arch. Thinking of returning them.

Quality shoe, if it fits

The fit of these shoes are a bit odd. First of all, SIZE: the Sansha sizes are not standard sizes. The size chart itself is a bit off as well. It lists the size 11 Sansha as the equivalent of a US size 9 women or US size 6 mens. ??? A men's size 6 is more like a women's size 7 1/2, not a 9. Odd. It's NOT a men's 6, it is closer to a women's 9. I wear a women's 8 1/2 or a 9 and the Sansha 11 is close to a 9 or 9 1/2. Good for my purpose, because I like to add an orthotic heel support in my dance shoes.FIT: The heel is roomy, but the toe is narrow. I had to really smash my feet to get my toes down in the toebox (I have moderate bunions), but the rest of the shoe fits just a smidgen big. As it breaks in and I add an orthotic I'm thinking it will fit better, but out of the box it was a bit difficult to get it to feel right.LOOK: cute and as picturedORDER: timely and as expected deliveryQUALITY: seems good so far. Well built and stitched.Bottom line- this may be a great shoe for you, but the sizing and fit make it a good idea to be familiar with how your feet fit in a Sansha shoe. Maybe go to a retail shop and try on a few dance shoes if possible before you order so you know what size is best for your foot.

Comfortable Shoe

I practiced in these shoes for four hours and the gave my feet and knees support that none of my other jazz shoes had. Many of the women in my dance group have gone to this shoe because it is so comfortable and performs so welll. I wish it came in all black so I could have another pair for performances. Be sure to order a size larger as they run small. I wear an 8 and ordered a nine.

Nope! not for me

I RETURNED THIS SHOE BECAUSE IT WHATSOEVER PROVIDED NO SUPPORT TO THE ARCH. I WAS EXPECTING TO USE THEM ON HARDWOOD FLOORS, WHICH ALSO CAME TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT THAT THEY SLIDE PRETTY EASILY WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO BALANCE YOUR BODY. SORRY, BUT I WON'T GET THESE. aLSO, THEY LOOK PRETTY IN THE PICTURE THAT IN PERSON.

what's great for one person might not work at all for ...

These didn't work for me. I bought them on the advice of a friend who loves them...this is the tricky part about shoes; what's great for one person might not work at all for someone else. I used them for Zumba and they gave me blisters on the bottoms of my big toes. The sizing was fine, I ordered my street shoe size, but the way my toes fit in the shoe just wasn't right. I gave them several attempts before deciding they just wouldn't work for me.
