My partner is a case manager in an emergency room, and she was an RN in emergency rooms for 20 years before that. Obviously, that means long, strange, hours, that are all over the place. It has been very tricky to find just the right shoes for her on long shifts, across a wide variety of conditions. I saw these, and they're definitely her style. She's more sporty than office-y. She liked the look, so I went ahead and ordered them. She had been wearing some very expensive walking shoes for months, that were rubbing her feet raw in places, and it's been very disappointing. On her first day with these, it was snowy and slushy everywhere. She messaged me right away that they're definitely waterproof. Tested right out of that box. Later that day, she messaged me saying they are like walking around on a mattress. She typically wears a 7.5 or 8, depending on the brand. We ordered 8s in these. She has somewhat narrow feet, and with these, she wishes we ordered a 7.5, as they're just a tiny bit too wide, but it's not that big of a deal. She's commented on the quality of the laces, and even the tongue being very high. So far, these seem to be some of the best nursing shoes we've tried over a great many years.
I recently purchased these amazing hiking shoes for my mom, and she's absolutely thrilled with them! The color combination is not only stylish but also versatile for various outdoor activities. Provides excellent protection against the elements, keeping her feet dry and comfortable even in unpredictable weather. The fit is true to size, and the overall design offers fantastic support for those long walks or hikes. My mom particularly appreciates the attention to detail in the craftsmanship, and she raves about how lightweight and breathable the shoes are. The durability of the materials ensures that they'll withstand the test of time, making them a practical and stylish investment.
Tester: 28 year old female, size 8-8.5, used over 1 week working as a nurse so on feet for long hours.Fit: true to size.Pros: comfortable, no pain, felt light on feet. Adequate arch support.Cons: not a lot of ankle support which led to question on appropriateness for hiking. But they are light weight which would be advantageous.Overall: 4 stars - lost 1 due to ankle support.
This brand has been known to me for years and years for their skiing equipment and accessories, but I had no idea they make hiking shoes! These are really nice quality and comfortable. They are totally worth it! I am usually a 9.5 but I got a 10 because I tend to wear thick socks when I hike. This is a good fit for me.
I am typically an 8M and these fit perfect for width. The shoes were long for me but are comfortable on; in my photo my thumb is on top of my big toe. If you are between sizes this will probably be most helpful for you.I like to do short hikes in the summer, so I will know about durability at that time. The height is nice to give some lift from dampness and pebbles on the ground. I am hoping these will have good traction.
I have been having some knee issues, and thought maybe a change of shoes would help. I was right. I wear a women's size 10, and that usually gives me room to wiggle my toes, but sometimes they are a bit too narrow. These shoes were perfect. I have support in the heel, but width in the toe box. The soles are supportive and feel soft and comfortable. I couldn't be happier with them, and I'm very thankful that I'm able to get out and walk without as much knee pain now.
I got these unsure how I'd feed since it's not a brand I'm familiar with but these are great. I wear them for everyday use and they are super comfortable. They offer the support I need, probably better then the 2 other popular brands I own. I haven't worn them hiking so I can't attest to how to do with that, but for walking and everyday use they are great.
These shoes are super nice and comfortable but they run larger than expected. I am using some extra foam in the toes but the whole toe box is also much roomier than expected. I am not sure what materials the bottom of the shoe is made of, but it is crazy squeaky. If I walk on any surface that is solid the shoes have crazy good grip but also a very pronounced squeak. I am hoping it reduces over time because it's pretty loud. The color is nice (plum) and the insoles CAN be removed if you have orthotics. One star taken off for sizing and squeaking.
