When it comes to outdoor footwear, finding the perfect balance between hiking capabilities and trail running agility can be a challenge. The Salewa Men's MS Ultra Flex 2 Mid Gore-TEX Trail Running Shoes effectively bridge this gap, providing a robust solution for avid adventurers.
The upper material combines synthetic elements with breathable mesh, allowing for optimal airflow while maintaining durability. Whether you're navigating rocky paths or muddy trails, the reliable grip offered by the exclusive Pomoca sole ensures that you remain stable and secure.
Comfort is paramount, especially during prolonged use, and this shoe does not disappoint. The Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane plays a crucial role in keeping your feet comfortably dry regardless of external conditions. Moreover, the OrthoLite footbed enhances this experience by wicking away moisture and providing cushioning where it's needed most.
A standout feature is the patented SALEWA 3F system, which promotes flexibility while providing a precise fit and solid ankle support from the get-go. This feature makes the transition from hiking to running seamless, a trait appreciated by many users.
In terms of aesthetics, the black, red, and orange color scheme is not only visually appealing but also practical for outdoor settings. However, some users have found that the shoes require an initial break-in period to reach maximum comfort levels. Additionally, while the price might be on the higher side, the quality and performance justify the investment for dedicated hikers and runners.

Just finished an 8mile hike earlier today and they exceeded my expectations! Very comfortable and light! I hike a dirt trail with an occasional section of caliche, and never did I feel less comfy with this pair. This is my second different pair of Salewa’s and between them and Salomon, it’s a tough choice, really. You can’t ho wrong with these. I wear a size 10 and they fit perfectly. Felt very sturdy and secure.
I'm a wide foot. But these are some how still the best shoe for working in all day. I do about 12k steps a day in them feet are never soar. As long as toe safety isn't a issue these are a great shoe. I heard there great for hiking also I live in the city not many trails here
Great, well made boots. Had to return though for a half-size bigger.
I have always been a Salomon fan, but the 2 most recent pairs of Salomon boots I bought both leaked...a lot. So I remembered the Salewa's being very highly rated in a Gear-of-the-Year article in my Backpacker magazine about 10 years ago...so I bought them. I am not sure why they have a cover over the laces and they seem to smell like cat urine if they stay wet for too long, but they are comfortable and they do not leak.
My husband loves this brand and he owns 2 other pairs. For fathers day i bought these for him and he was happy and wore them right away and they fit and felt great at first. However the inner part fabric is falling apart after few wears and couldn’t return them. Other than that great looking shoes
Great boot. Super supportive and light.
A bit narrow around the top of the foot even when unlaced - I'm wearing a size 9. Not really an issue with a very thin sock, but anything thicker is an issue. Otherwise, I like these alot. Comfortable, good grip and support.
