Stable and secure shoe for trail runs or hiking.

I purchased these Pearl Izumi trail shoes on the advice of a consultant at Fleet Feet. I was having a lot of foot issues ( plantar fasciitis). I wanted a secure shoe to walk and jog on trails. She recommended these shoes along with green super feet insoles.I love these shoes.this is my second pair of trail shoes. I wore my other pair slap out!In these shoes I always order a size larger than what I normally wear since these run small. I normally wear a 8 in other shoes so I purchase a 9 with this brand. In the winter I wear two pairs of socks, single pair in summer. Either way it is a good fit. This dynasty Green / deep Wisteria is a good looking combination. The laces are a little short for me. Your feet get wet in wet grass because of the mesh covering but it's a positive on hot days. The trails I hike on are muddy and full of roots. These shoes provide secure footing and stability for my feet. This protects my ankles and knees!I can recommend these trail shoes to others. I can hike, run without pain!I took pictures of the shoe, top and side. In the sand shot you can see the cool tread.

Love these shoes! Great deal!

These shoes are awesome! I've been looking for shoes that are comfortable on flat feet for standing and walking on hard flooring for 12+ hours, and it was a very close call between these and the Brooks Ghost 8. I ended up getting the Brooks but couldn't get these out of my mind. They went down to under $50 for the black and the teal pairs and I got both. I'm so glad I did! They are super comfy and the thin mesh keeps my feet from getting hot. The soles are flexible in all the right places and the toe box is great and roomy for flat wider feet. Just enough arch support to actually support and not hurt. The colors are fab too. Definitely worth the money even if not on sale! I'll be using these as backups for work when I've been on my Brooks for too many days in a row. I did order a whole size bigger. I usually wear 8.5 but got these in 9.5 to make sure my toes don't touch even after long hours and feet swelling. I tried the 9s but my toes touched the front a little on the sides and I know that will be a problem after a few hours on my feet. They fit perfect with thin and thick socks. Very satisfied with this purchase!

This shoe lets your toes spread naturally.

I bought this shoe because of its wide and tall toe box. Like most women, my foot is narrow through the heel and mid-foot while being wider through the ball of foot and toe area. This shoe allows my toes to spread naturally while still holding my overall foot securely. Very well made so I expect it will hold up well over the long haul. Remember that is is a trail shoe by design, so the sole cushioning is a bit on the firm side. If you like more a little more cush in your cushion, try one of the Pearl Izumi road shoes as they are somewhat softer. My only wish for this shoe is that I'd like it to be a zero-drop shoe like my Altra's, but the drop is fairly minimal.

runs small, narrow, not much arch- great shoe!

Glad I listened & ordered up. I wear an 8 in women's shoes. Sometimes I can even wear a 7.5- but it was strongly recommended to size up. I got an 8.5 & they fit great. I have a very narrow foot & high arch. These shoes are narrow through the heel and mid foot. A smidge bigger in the toe box. The arch support was nihil, so I put my arch insoles in the shoes & I am super happy! Best I can tell these are a neutral stride (I supinate extremely) so these pull my stride straight up. Although I am sure I will ruin the outside soles like I do to all my running/hiking shoes! This is my first pair of Pearl Izumi.

I’m hooked!

From my first step out the door, they were great. Sometimes my feet are a little numb with new shoes. Not these! They are wide in the toe box, which is perfect for my wide feet & a bullion. Went on the trail with them too this weekend & equally satisfied there! Have not heard a ton about this brand & ordered based on reviews alone. I’m hooked. Hopefully they hold up, I spend a lot of time in the woods on trails. My intent is not running in them as much as hiking easier trails where terrain is not to rough.

Awesome Shoes

OMGoodness ... I am in love with these shoes. They are the best pair that I have ever owned. Great tread. Nice full toe area and I have wide feet. I love looking down and seeing the colors and design. They feel magnificent. I decided to hike up a mountain the hard way and I had no issues at all with slippage. I am very impressed. And the price was great as I got them on a bargain - it was an open package product. I would definitely buy another pair if the price is right.

they really are the best tennis shoe I've ever had as far as comfort ...

I have several pairs of Pearl Izumi and they fit a wide foot AMAZINGLY well! I would have never believed it but a friend had me try on a pair of hers and I'll never buy another style of tennis shoe. I use one pair for hiking and another for the gym etc. they really are the best tennis shoe I've ever had as far as comfort and support, and I'm hard on my shoes.

I love these shoes

I love these shoes, but I did have to order a half size larger than I normally do. Other than that, they are GREAT! I'm on my feet all day long 5 to 6 days a week, so they give me great support! I'll order again!
