Very comfortable, fit true to Nike size. Actually have had several compliments from random people while wearing them!
First of all, don't sweat the pic, you do get the men's version even though both listings currently show the women's colors. Subtle difference between pink and gray around the heel but i included pics so you can see what the men's looks like.WINS:This is absolutely a runner's shoe. Different from the Epic React v1 and v2. It has 25% more React foam, a wider toe box to accommodate toe splay and swelling over longer miles. The new Flyknit material feels great so far (only 10 miles in) as it's light and very breathable which is welcome here in TX.This is the first Nike running shoe that i was able to buy in my standard running shoe size rather than going up .5-1 size. They finally conformed on something that will hopefully make it easier for folks to get the right fit on the first try.The outsole rubber is very grippy and i don't anticipate any issues with slipping or durability. The arch of the shoe is high and the shoe does not have a lot of flex. This is by design to support you for a longer run without causing premature fatigue in your feet.Additionally my ankle locks like a dream without having to overly tighten laces across the forefoot.BE AWARE:There is only 4 eyelets on this shoe which makes it more difficult to customize the fit across your forefoot. I still had no issues creating a good fit for me despite having a nueroma to deal with so i'm not taking stars off for it.The high arches felt strange when i first put them on, but after walking/running for a short time, it felt great and has the benefit mentioned above so definitely no stars off as this shoe is for running and it feels great when running.BOTTOM LINE:I can't wait to get these dirty!DISCLAIMER:I bought these with my own money because as an avid runner I wanted to test the new shoe Nike produced to try to help reduce runner injuries. I was not given these shoes nor am i being compensated in any way for the review. Just wanted to share with other runners!
The best training shoe
I really love these sneakers I was hesitant about the fit and colour but these fit really well. I recommend getting a 1/2 size up as they fit really right around the ankles.
So, my last pair of Nike shoes were Air Icarus back in the early 90s. After that the quality really dipped, friends had horrific problems with nike running shoes so I went with other brands. For this style, it's rather narrow and definitely for the slender-footed. Which is the trend with footwear. For these "knit" styles, I wore them for a while for the knit to stretch out. Then I took out the insoles to allow my feet to sit a tiny bit lower in the shoe, giving my foot more room. The insole is only a couple milimeters thick, so I don't think I'm going to be missing out on any cushioning. But it did make all the different in allowing my foot to fit! I'll be running in them as soon as the weather clears up, and I'll update my review with how many miles they last. I'm not optimistic, lol. Oh, the color is a little off. The photo appears red, but they're more fluorescent IRL. Loud and obnoxious.
I have a bunionso it makes it very hard to find a Pair of shoes.s. It fit these shoes, get it perfectly.
